I corresponded with TV One and they have no plans any time soon to release Unsung on DVD. They will be uploading the eps on youtube.

I don't know if marketing can be looked at as a reason for the acts on Unsung not to have made it. We are talking about acts pre 85 and older and I don't think "marketing" as we know it today existed then. There was no net or anything like that. And I am not looking at crossover appeal, either.

It might not be up to tv one. I used to work for the production company that put out Unsung and you should see the shit they do put out on DVD

You are welcome. This is how it breaks down: TV One does NOT own the rights to Unsung as far as I know. They just commissioned it from and bought it from my old employer and air it. Therefore, technically, it would be up to the production company to put it on DVD, which I think at some point WILL happen.
