I think he meant faded for mainstream
there is no reason why Affairs of the Heart had to be ignored. Aside from Michael,Janet, Boyz II Men, Alanis (in Canada) and Paula, I think 1991 sucked ass, and Jody's new material that year was superb and too good for the year.
