She's a freaking badass. Had no idea she played guitar, and not we're not talking like Madonna here. Her voice is impeccable, but I love that she never shows off, doing the overblown runs you know she could do in a heartbeat.

Her songwriting reflects her age, but once she gets a little more life experience under her belt, she's gonna be a serious force to be reckoned with. It's really like some alternate timeline where someone with as much, maybe more, talent than Amy Winehouse, but without the self-destructive BS, got her due.

Don't diss Amy. Without her coming first, Adele might not have broken through. I love both women and Adele's rise this year confirms my belief that the best music is coming out of England.
