There are a lot of videos that I do not want them to watch. Most of the videos are too provacative even for teenagers. IMO

if i had kids i wouldn't let them watch videos by toby keith or hannah montana.

well, maybe i would, but i'd want to sit with my children and watch the videos together, so i could explain to them why these songs and videos suck.

yes, because i would want my kids to understand good art and to not be manipulated by messages in the media. i would much rather my kids be subjected to an occasional boobie or a flash of weener than to be sucked into some marketing scheme that they're being tricked into believing is genuine art.

and toby keith is just plain creepy. lol

I wouldn't say every last hannah montana thing sucks...my kids and I actually sit and watch and discuss these things.

I think it's important for kids to know when something is art or when they're being pitched to buy dolls or cereal or whatever. I guess seeing someone like Dolly Parton on Hannah Montana is cool, but young minds will glom onto just about any music that is colorful and creative...I'd rather fill those young minds with something great than with Disney Radio crap, if I could possibly help it.

I absolutely point out when they're being sold crap, and I call it what it is. And my kids are listening, and asking. I love it. And I've heaped the praise on Dolly!

That is understandable, I do not want them to be brainwashed either.
