well, it's no great masterpiece
laid back blues good enough for fans such as I
but there's nothing near "classic" on the whole album

Keep your expectations low
small circles, big wheels!
I've got a pretty firm grip on the obvious!

It's not that good - especially compared with his last three albums. There isn't a standout song, and nothing really worth listening to more than once or twice. If you don't have Time Out Of Mind, Love & Theft or Modern Times, I'd strongly recommend getting those instead.
There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

i don't know people's, i think it has growing potential. Dylan hardly ever lets up.

oh and to add to those 3 albums listed, Oh Mercy. amazing lp. The man in the long black coat is one of my faves.

I've only had the cd for a few days so I have only listened to it once.

So far, I like it. I find with Bob's work that you have to listen carefully and savour the lyrics. I know I will love the entire cd once I become more familiar. It's just such great music when you come right down to it.

Agreed fully. After three fairly monumental releases, this definitely feels like he's scaled back his ambitions. It's worth hearing certainly, but at this point it sounds like an album that only the devout have to seek out.

You got that right my friend.

I'm so happy he has the #1 album. It goes to show that many people still want to hear real music instead of pop crap.
