***In 1982,there was a song that was kinda like a rap song, but the guy mostly just talked through it.It samples the music from Tom Browne's 1981 hit "Thighs High",as well as Chic's "Good Times".He says things like "Funk! Where rhythm is life and life is rhythm".This song was sampled by Coolio in the 90s...the part that goes "1,2,3,4,get your woman on the floor".WHO SINGS THIS SONG??? ***In the early 80s,there was a song called "Let Your Body Do The Talking".It's a different song from The Deele's 1984 hit "Body Talk". The title of the song was "The Wicka Rap" I may have the spelling wrong on wicka but they use the beat and groove from Tom Browne's "Funkin For Jamaica". The chorus goes like this..."The wicka rap that what it is getting into you". Later on... in the 3rd verse, the dude rapping goes into the song... "1, 2,3 ,4 get your woman on the floor, you got to get to get down,,,so let;s really go to town. don't stop til you get enough, I want to rock with you and shake your stuff. boogie night cause it's all right..ring my bell.. it's out of sight . That song used to be the jam{it used to get tons of airplay back in the day. And Davideye wouldn't know it this song came out in not 1982 but 1981!!! Man 1981 was the year bruh!!! Can't quite think of the artist of this song...not yet!!! | |

I just started reading the post, but I wish we had this discussion a year ago, or I wish I was here a year ago when I was partaking in what is deemed now as "illegal" activity of downloading. Those would have been some great songs to add to my collection. ::wonders if there's still a stray downloading program on the hard drive:: Back to reading!!!
