Who here rides for Me'Shell Ndegeleecacllo BITTER album I just kinda let me fingers type randomly for her last name and it came out close
Anyway, I saw Bitter at Best Buy for $14.99 and was thinking about coppin' it, but I thought I should get a review again. The album cover has been in a few "what are you listening to now" threads, but has there been a discussion on it? Has anyone pointed out what SONGS they like on it?

OMG, the whole album is killer. It's one of those mood albums... the whole thing has a continuous atmosphereic flow. I can easily listen to it without skipping and my favorites are some of my all time favorite by her.
Fool of Me Satisfy Bitter Beautiful Wasted Time Grace Great for rainy days or laying around the house. There's a sadness to it but there's a lot of beauty and love in it too and just wonderful music. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

It's her BEST album, but it's definitely got a mood to it. If you're a Me'Shell fan you'll love it. If you're not really into her, you might wanna try something less somber like Comfort Woman, or The World Has Made Me the Man of My Dreams...

okay, that's all I needed to hear! I basically am not in the mood to be dragged through misery for the sake of listening to an album. But next time I'm in a funk I'll pick it up

Just get it so you already have it when the funk comes!

But Satisfy and Grace are nice. Cinnie needs to have this album in case of funk emergencies. No more delay. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Wasted Time may be my all time fave from Me'Shell, but that's a tough tough call!

The abrupt ending is like a shot in the heart. Why do I always think Earth is on this album? Maybe it feels like it could be an extension of it. That's another favorite. Lalah's lush vocals make it a treasure. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Probably b/c Earth would be a great fit on this album Its funny b/c I had to look to make sure Wasted Time was really on Bitter before I commented here, I'd forgotten what album it was on She has such a signature sound, it's easy to mix it up. She's evolved really nicely as an artist

The instrumentals "Adam" and "Eve" are beautiful.
Love the way "Eve" segues into "Wasted Time".

Absolutely excellent album! Great 4 "mood music" as well Recently my girlfriend wanted me 2 put on something 'smooth'. Miles' "Kind of Blue" wasn't working. I put on "Bitter" and...well U know!

If you haven't gotten it already, you need to step away from the computer. Get into your car. Drive down to Best Buy. BUY THIS ALBUM. If they're not open, BREAK IN (leave the $$$ on the counter, though).
Me'shell has some great albums, but this is HANDS DOWN her best album so far. It's a mellow affair that demands to be listened to from beginning to ending - NO SKIPPING. • Did you first think Prince was gay? •
Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

I LOVE it but... it IS one of the saddest records out there.
The title track rips my guts out everytime I hear it - and I believe those are Lisa Coleman's chords....A 5-star song! Likewise - there are two more 5-star tunes on this one album; Faithful and Beautiful.

This album is great. And yes, there was a point when I was absorbed in it back when it first came out. It's still a great album, but it's a mood record. I have to be up for it.

Wendy & Lisa are what give this album a little extra sumthin sumthin for me. The music is too beautiful to turn off, even in the sadness. Cinnie, I thought you knew! Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Yeah, I think everyone has pegged it right--you have to be in the mood for it, but it does have some great pieces ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout
