Yesterday,I pulled out one of their other CDs that I've had for awhile: '3+3'.The song "If You Were There" is just FANTASTIC!! You guys familiar with that one?
I love that tune...although....as I've said before, I'll proably get my Funk pass revoked, but I actually like Wham's version of this song better than the original, I just never liked that galloping percussion in the original...

You don't have to worry that much. Bboy87 posted Wham!'s version not too long ago and he's a big fan of them and George anyways. So you're cool. I prefer the original tho.

Soul have you listened to, "Given Back" or "Brother, Brothers, Brothers yet?
I certainly did These two albums are GREAT! I like the fact that they appear together on one disc.Funkpill hates "twofers" but in this case, the two albums paired together really works I like 'Brother,Brother,Brother' the best."Work To Do" has always been one of my favorite Isleys songs, and I love what they do with the Carole King songs.

I was just listening to this CD ('Brother,Brother,Brother') and I was blown away by the last song, which you posted above! That's my favorite song on the album.

In the case of these two albums, I wouldn't mind having them as "twofers" also. Heck, they could have packaged a "threefer" ... adding 3+3. Acoustic mellow funk. As I've said before a precusor to what was coming..... "The Heat Is On"! All funk broke loose after that.
