Yes it is the baddest and sexiest song on the album.Also the sexiest love scene in the movie!!!!!A group name Honey Cone one fo Curtis Matfield's proteges remade this in the '70's.They were on Soul Train.I have this on dvd.Great post by the way.

Superfly - Lyrically.

Frankly, I'm more drawn to music,,,,so I'll stick with Isaac Hayes lush music for "Shaft", ESP for Ellie's Love Theme love music God, thats the PRETTIEST thing Ike ever composed in his whole career IMO.

Fact is, I prefer Ike's instrumentals over his 'songs', he expressed more in that department.
