As much an aficionado of Bob Dylan and Paul Simon as he is of Donny Hathaway and Luther Vandross, Chambers has penned classic tracks for artists like Beyonce (”After All Is Said And Done”), Brownstone (“If You Love Me”), Carl Thomas (“My Valentine”), Patti Labelle and Ron Isley (”Gotta Go Solo”), and Anita Baker (the Grammy-winning hit “I Apologize”). Yet, it was while toiling with soon-to-be comeback queen Whitney Houston in 2005 that he decided to get serious about performing.
