a-Ha premiere new single "Foot of the Mountain" on Norwegian Radio 4 years after the release of "Analogue" their million selling 2005 album which brought them back into the Top 10 of the UK for the first time since 1990 and gave them the popularity jump they needed in that market in which they ruled between 1985-1989. Their strongest markets still remain (norway, germany, south america) all will see the release of their 10th album still untitled at the moment but due in June on Universal International. The Single "Foot of the mountain" was mixed by Steve Osborne and Produced Roger Fremberg, and combines the incredible mature songwriting of the members and mixed with a classic a-Ha sound but doesnt make it sound "trivial and nostalgic" like so many bands/artists do, that are currently releasing albums. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I think it's awesome they're still around and releasing music! But I"m not in Norway and I don't do the torrent thing, how will I hear this new song? "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

There is a link through http://www.a-ha.com and also on http://www.youtube.com just search a-ha foot of the mountain and it comes up. The very interesting thing about this song is that they didnt play it live during their warm up concerts a few weeks ago in south america. The song is actually "the longest night" by Magne F the keyboard players second solo album, its his 2 verses slightly re-written with Morten's vocals now of course and then a whole new bridge and chorus that was just written. Everyone that heard Mags solo album said that "the longest night" was VERY classic a-Ha with its sound and riffs.
