This one pleasantly caught me off guard on Electric Ladyland.....

Nice pick...I myself wrote a thread about this very song on here. It's one of my favorites by Hendrix. Jimi wrote this on an old harpsichord that was in the studio. To me, it's a very underrated song.

just about anything jimi touched was pretty amazing no matter how messed up he may have been. What a creatively brilliant guy he was.

I like Rotary Connection's version of this song.

The mix is terrible. It is very muddy indeed. The sound really annoys me.
Apparantly noel redding came up with the intro.

A classic for sure. I like the short instrumental on the 4 disc box set.

It sounds as if it was something he recorded at the split second when he was in thestudio. You can hear him talking to someone at the beginning. Its all on (I want to say) disc one and runs about a minute and a half.

It is harpsicord driven and may have appeared on other collections before.
