Midnight Star Show - Review - They Still Got It

Finally the main attraction hit the stage – Midnight Star. All I can say is – W.O.W. You know, its amazing that bands from the 80’s and 70’s really still put on a fierce (I mean that with two snaps) and tight show. They danced like the songs “Operator” and “Wet My Whistle” were brand new on the radio. And when they sang, it was better than the original recordings over 25 years ago. Not to knock the new hip-hop or rap, but I understand why old school is so loved and cherished. This group of individuals honestly loved and respected their craft. I haven’t seen a group be so happy to perform on stage. The crowd went crazy, danced, sang along and overall had a good time. In today’s economic climate it just felt to “feel good.

I saw Midnight Star twice in 2007 and they put on an incredible show! It was actually one of the best shows I ever attended.

I had a blast. Definately anyone who can attend a concert should go. It's money well spent!

HAHA! what's up with the Prince cameo/look-a-like?

Prince was so dominant back then that mugs would put fakes in their videos so peeps would watch.

what's really funny is that i never so that back in the day. i use to always turn the channel whenever they would show this video. i couldn't stand it, i thought it was my momma's music. lol

gheri curls, pastels, thriller jackets, the little red corvette swipe, dozens of people in the street doing choreographed dances, yeah that pretty much sums up the 80's.

Oh yeah they still got it - no doubt. I have seen them live a few times in the past couple of years. It is shameful that former group member Reggie Calloway still goes around trying to act like he is/was Midnight Star.
The group got him straight on their my space.
If you wanna see the best of the best of a self-contained r&b band from the old school, go see Midnight Star live. They still have all of their original singers: Belinda, Bo and Melvin. Man "Slow Jam", "Curious", "Midas Touch", "No Parking On The Dance Floor", they are the shizzziitttttazoid indeed
I saw their itenerary on their official my space page:
New Orleans
Jacksonville, FL
Columbus, Ohio
Orlando, FL
Akron, Ohio
Los Angles, Cali[/b
