Do you ever listen to VESTA - 4 U

When I was a teenager I loved this album so much. I recently dug it out of my CD library and felt it all over again.

Vesta - 4 U (1988)

Vesta Williams was fantastic!

Did she have some major weight loss surgery or what? It's like looking at a totally differnt gal these days, like Jennifer Holiday!!!

"Congratulations" was a nice ballad and "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" is still one of my favorite songs. From the "4U" release, I loved "Heresay" and "Best I Ever Had." The whole album has a very Chaka Khan/Prince sound... sadly very overlooked at the time, in my opinion.

Thanks for bringing up a classic!

Yes i love this album. I have it on cassette. Haven't listened in
several years. I know she worked with this producer named
attala zane giles. I will have to pull this one out and listen soon.

From this album,I really like the first single "Sweet Sweet Love" music That's a nice song....very soulful and melodic. It was refreshing to hear a song like that in the New Jack Swing era.

Her song "Special" from 1991 is like that too. Love that song.
