BoOTyLiCioUs said: IS IT BECAUSE HE'S BLACK?: What They Don't Want You to Know About Michael Jackson
By Christopher Hamilton (January 5, 2006)Email to a friend | Print Friendly What do you think of when you hear the name, Michael Jackson? Wacko? Criminal? Great Entertainer? Businessman? Whatever you think of MJ, throw all your thoughts out of the window and let's examine some facts. For years the media has labeled him "Wacko Jacko." What happened to MJ? Wasn't he the biggest thing in music at one point? When did he go crazy? All anyone has to do is look when Michael started being portrayed as "Crazy." It wasn't during the "Thriller" years. It's cool being a song and dance man. That's what they want. DON'T DARE BECOME A THINKING BUSINESSMAN. DON'T DARE BUY THE BEATLES CATALOG. DON'T DARE MARRY ELVIS' DAUGHTER. DON'T DARE BEAT THE RECORD INDUSTRY AT THEIR OWN GAME. Michael started being labeled crazy when he began making business moves that no one had been successful at doing. Michael took two cultural icons and shattered them to pieces. All our lives, we've been bombarded with 2 facts. The Beatles were the greatest group of all time and Elvis was the King of Rock and Roll. Michael bought the Beatles and married the King's daughter. (if that ain't literally sticking it to the man) If I wasn't a cynic, I'd say Michael did the Lisa Marie thing just to stick it to the people who consider Elvis the King. The Beatles were great, but they weren't great enough to maintain publishing rights over their own songs. Elvis was great, but he didn't write his songs. His manager, Col Tom Parker, was the mastermind behind Elvis ... keeping him drugged with fresh subscription pills and doing all the paperwork. Michael could do no wrong as an entertainer. "Off the Wall," first solo artist with 4 top ten singles. "Thriller," the biggest selling album of all time, with a then record 7 top ten singles. "Bad," the first album to spawn 5 number one songs (even Thriller only had 2 number one songs). All this is cool. But that is all you better do. SING AND DANCE. Michael wanted to be greater. He bought the legendary Sly and the Family Stone catalog and no one really cared. When he bought the Beatles, people noticed. The Sony merger took the cake. Sony, in their eagerness to have a part of the Beatles catalog, agreed to a 50/50 merger with Jackson, thus forming Sony/ATV music publishing. Now, Michael co-owns half of the entire publishing of all of Sony artists. Check out the complete lists of songs at sonyatv.com. A sampling of the songs he owns the publishing rights to are over 900 country songs by artists such as Tammy Wynette, Kenny Rogers, Alabama. All Babyface written songs. Latin songs by Selena and Enrique Iglesias. Roberta Flack songs, Mariah Carey songs, Destiny's Child's songs. 2pac, Biggie and Fleetwood Mac songs. In essence over 100,000 songs. "What is this man doing?" None of the greats did this. Not Bono, Springsteen, Sinatra. "Who does he think he is? Get whatever you can on him." To "get" someone, you have to attack what they love the most. I'll say no more on that. The only man who even approaches MJ in taking on the industry is Prince and to a lesser extent, George Michael. They went after poor George Michael, publicly outing the man as a homosexual. Prince fought hard and made his point, but nevertheless still had to resort to using a major company to distribute his materials. There is nothing wrong with that. Prince would get the lion's share, but the result were years of being labeled crazy and difficult. The greatest moment for them was the Sneddon press conference. "We got him." Never was such glee so evident. Who cares if we have evidence? Michael was acquitted, did not celebrate, went home and left the USA. Best move ever. Now what is there left for the haters to do? He's gone. "Gone, what do you mean he moved to Bahrain? Well, how the hell can we get him if he's not here? Quick, get that columnist to write a series of articles on how MJ's teetering on the brink of destruction. Oh we did that? Well, what can we do?" On the outer surface, it appears Michael is not doing anything to make money. Don't even count the weekly sales of his CDs. 15,000 CDs a week is nothing for Michael. The Sony/ATV catalog is money for Michael Jackson every time he breathes. Serious money. The fact that no one reports on the actual amount is proof of that. They would rather you believe he is broke than tell you the truth. Neverland is still owned by MJ. The family home in Encino is still owned by MJ. Michael still owns the Beatles songs through the merger with Sony as well as full ownership of his own songs. But, hey, that's our little secret. Michael Jackson is literally walking in the shoes that no Black person has ever walked in before. If he ever writes an autobiography, it will be one of the most interesting ever. A Black man with no real formal education becomes the most powerful man in the industry, DESPITE hatred, racism, enemies in his own camps and a media willing to be bought to the highest bidder. If Sony had any sense, right now they should offer to continue the partnership. That's the only way they will make future money off of Michael's catalogue. Tommy Mattola did not lose his job with Sony because he was a bad label head. It was a casualty of war. MJ exposed him and Sony had to cut their losses. Companies do it all the time. Notice no one at Sony nor did Matolla himself ever sue MJ for slander. Michael always was loyal to his bosses at Epic/Sony. Back at the 1984 Grammys, he even brought then label head Walter Yetnikoff on stage with him at one point. He's always thanked Dave Glew, Mattola and others at Sony in his acceptance speeches. Sony can still do right by Michael, but it may be too late. However, they still should make a goodwill gesture, but how many times do businesses do that? If I were them, I'd still want MJ as an ally, not as an enemy. It is/was a mutally profitable merger. I'd be scared as hell if I was an enemy of MJ while he is with the multi-billionaires overseas. Believe me, they aren't just over there discussing designer clothing. A conglomerate is in the making. One last note, these facts that I write here should not be the only times you hear this, but the sad fact is it probably is. I was worried that Michael would go down because of the uncertainty of the jury. That's playing unfair. If I'm presenting these facts here at EURweb, YOU CAN BELIEVE THE MEDIA KNOWS IT ALREADY AS WELL. They aren't salivating over everything MJ related just because he made "Thriller." They know what's up. Think about it. That's why I laugh when I see shows like BET's "The Ultimate Hustler." We all know who that is. (How can Damon Dash know who the ultimate hustler is anyway? He lost Roc-a-fella to Jay-Z) In the end, Michael won't be known for being an alleged child molester. He won't be known for "Thriller." He will be known as the man that fought the record industry and won and lived to tell the tale. That is a book worth buying. http://www.eurweb.com/sto...r24224.cfm Thanks, nice read. One Boy's Story
I always thought he did.
New Jersey Teenager Reveals Secrets At Neverland Ranch (CBS) Ahmad Elatab of Clifton, N.J., first met Michael Jackson when he was 9. Did he ever attend a sleepover at Jackson's house? "Yes, once and it was pretty fun," says Elatab, who was 17 when Correspondent Peter Van Sant spoke with him nearly two years ago. "It's not young boys. He had young girls. He had teenagers with him, all kinds of ages -- young, old, everybody. Elatab, who's Lebanese, struck up a friendship with Jackson as a boy, and has visited Neverland Ranch at least six times. "There was a thing about the press. They told everybody that he hates Middle Eastern children, and he wanted to prove them wrong," says Elatab. "So he brought, like, 50 Middle Eastern kids, and met with them in a private studio in New York City." “He started calling me, we started hanging out and stuff like that,” he adds, showing a picture of himself, his brother and Jackson. While he never slept in Jackson’s bed, he saw many others who did. Does he think that Jackson is a child molester? “No, I don’t. He’s not weird,” says Ahmad, who claims Jackson has never done anything inappropriate to him or anyone he knows. “He’s not sexual with kids. He’s not a molester, he’s not a pedophile. He just likes to help children.” Ahmad’s relationship with Jackson made front-page news on the New York Post, which referred to Jackson as “Wacko Jacko.” “It's a stupid name. No, he’s not Wacko Jacko,” says Ahmad. "We call him different names. We call him Doodoo or Smelly." So who decides who gets to sleep in the same bed as Michael? "He decides, and the kids just ask him, and he says, ‘Yeah, sure,’" says Ahmad. "A whole bunch of kids just come and jump in bed with him." In fact, Ahmad says Jackson’s bed can get quite crowded: “He sleeps with his kids. Anybody. He sleeps with his makeup artist. He just sleeps this way. He’s a very loving person.” Ahmad believes he knows the boy who has reportedly accused Jackson of molestation. “He threw himself on Michael and he really wanted to hold Michael’s hand,” recalls Ahmad. “Michael gives him love back, but he doesn’t give him love back in a sexual way … I didn’t see Michael getting aroused, I didn’t see nothing like that.” Ahmad believes the molesting charges are based on lies, along with the report that Jackson has a secret bedroom at Neverland Ranch. “It’s not a secret bedroom, they just made that up,” he says. “It’s a room over the theater, it’s like a VIP room.” To Ahmad, Neverland is like a magic kingdom for children, a place where adults have little say: “You can do anything you want. You’re treated like kings, never told what to do, just tell them what to do … They can touch expensive paintings, they can touch all these expensive diamonds. Anything.” “I never had the feeling that he will be a child molester,” says Ahmad’s mother, Hanadi Fattouh. “I trust Michael Jackson.” And Ahmad says he trusted Michael, too. He remembers the man who once took him and 20 other children to a closed Toys 'R' Us. “We went there. He said the store is yours, you could have anything we wanted,” says Ahmad. “He’s a normal guy. He’s nice, and he’s the most loving guy in the world. He uses money to help himself but also everyone else around him.” http://www.cbsnews.com/st...5135.shtml "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

By Sophie Eager May 26, 2009 Michael Jackson spent almost $6.3 million on statues of children and Peter Pan for his Neverland Ranch, according to court papers. The 50-year-old singer reportedly spent millions on statues such as life-size figures of children holding hands and dancing. He reportedly bought the statues with the $25 million fee he received for "personal expenses" when he sold his half of the ATV Music Publishing Company to Sony three years ago. Jacko's ex-lawyer Raymone Bain made the claims as she is suing the star for $52 million. She claims she is owed money for deals she made for Jackson between 2003 and 2006. Jacko is reportedly now selling the statues to raise some cash. The court documents, filed by Bain, reportedly say: "The magnitude of his spending is legendary as he has earned and dissipated several fortunes." It added: "Mr Jackson's pattern has been to spend to the brink of insolvency and then borrow against his assets to further feed his spending. His unbridled spending would give any other individual a moment of pause." http://www.nationalledger...6210.shtml Michael Jackson spent fortune on statues Tuesday, 26 May 2009 Michael Jackson splashed out almost £4 million on statues of children. The 'Thriller' singer - who was cleared of child abuse allegations in 2005 - purchased the life-size bronze monuments of kids holding hands, dancing and playing on slides to display in his Neverland home. Jackson is said to have made the purchases - which were revealed in court documents filed by his ex-publicist Raymone Bain - while his huge debts piled up, using money from the £16 million he received for "Personal expenses" after selling his half of the ATV Music Publishing company to Sony in 2006. In the court documents, Bain, who is suing Jackson for £33 million, claimed: "The magnitude of his spending is legendary as he has earned and dissipated several fortunes. "Mr. Jackson's pattern has been to spend to the brink of insolvency and then borrow against his assets to further feed his spending would give any other individual a moment of pause. "Mr. Jackson exhibited and continues to exhibit impulsive and irresponsible spending habits without regard to the financial limits of his earnings." Most of the statues are now being auctioned in a bid to raise cash for the star. Last week, the 50-year-old star - who is said to be in millions of pounds worth of debt - postponed the first four concerts of his 50-night residency at London's O2 arena. (C) BANG Media International http://www.myparkmag.co.u...atues.html What a spending habit MJ has, no wonder he is auctining off his personal items, probably so he could pay his debts.

Read the sentence in bold. Michael originally owned 100% of the ATV catalogue. The reason he's lost at least half of it is precisely because of the pattern Raymone Bain is describing in that sentence. Don't forget he's also lost Neverland. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Here's a nice story about when Michael went to the Prince of Brunei's birthday party.
Jennifer Sky Band: My personal audience with the King of Pop By Jennifer Sky Band Tuesday, May 26, 2009 Once upon a time, I attended the most unlikely of birthday parties, or highly likely, depending on which dimension of reality you believe in. My husband and I arrived at London’s Heathrow airport, after the long flight from Los Angeles, and were met by a mysterious driver. I think he was speaking English, but neither of us could understand a word. Good thing I do understand the universal language of gesture — we were to get into his car! After hours of riding, destination unknown, we arrived at an elegant estate deep in the English countryside. Two days later, I was seated next to Michael Jackson, actually rubbing his leg! Do read on. Overhead, the circus-sized tent was draped in black and set with twinkling fairy lights; stars everywhere, all night. At table No. 1 sat Mr. Jackson. Next to him was Azim, the prince of Brunei; then Faye Dunaway, Raquel Welch, Jerry Hall, Shane West, Mario Vazquez from “American Idol,” some singer chick called Monica, my husband and myself. This eclectic group was gathered for Azim’s 25th birthday. And so I found myself dressed in a silk strapless floor-length sheath sitting across a table from the King of Pop. What’s a girl to do? One must take advantage of this situation and talk to Sir Michael! I devised a plan to reach my prey. First I came upon Ms. Welch, whom I complimented for her sparkly dress and figure. (Dude, the body on that woman — still unbelievable. I want to grow up to be her!) Moving down the line, I knelt next to Ms. Dunaway and watched as she took a small scale out of her purse and weighed some tomatoes and lettuce. I had attended Wimbledon with Faye the previous year. I said, “Faye you look so thin” — words a woman weighing her salad just loves to hear. She replied with slight indignation, “I am thin.” At this point I had maneuvered next to Michael himself; Faye to my right and Michael to my left. How do I begin? What would a man such as this want to hear? What is the universal language of the stars? I turned to him and said, “I love your suit. It’s so beautiful. Who made it?” All the while rubbing the black, embroidered fabric of his pant leg: I was rubbing Michael Jackson’s leg! He blushed a bit, and said in a soft, almost childlike voice, “Oh, thank you. Mr. Cavalli made it for me.” He was referring to famous designer Roberto Cavalli, who also was in attendance. “Oh, it is so gorgeous!” I said, and smiled my sweetest. He smiled back shyly. Turning back to Faye, who had been watching the exchange, I winked. She promptly offered me a compliment — I think. With a raised eyebrow she said, “You’re a very smart girl, aren’t you?” To which I replied with a sly smile, “I am smart.” Band, a native of Jensen Beach, is a retired model and actress. THE FLOACISTbecause you could never do itHome About flo’ology Court Transcripts – Downloads MMPR – Downloads Phone Calls (Private) – Downloads Stans Represent: The Dynasty Re: Gary Younge: Is Michael Jackson turning black again?
2008 March 18 tags: nation of islamby the floacist[source] Back into the fold He has spent years attempting to obliterate any trace of his African-American roots. So why, since his arrest, is Michael Jackson suddenly so keen to embrace the black community? Gary Younge reports on the singer’s unexpected racial conversion. Tuesday January 6, 2004 The Guardian Michael Jackson: black or white? When Michael Jackson wrote the lyrics “But if you’re thinkin’ about my baby/It don’t matter if you’re black or white” in his hit single Black or White, he could claim significant expertise. Jackson has had a fair crack at being both. First there was the African-American child star from Gary, Indiana – which became the most segregated city in America – who was the ethnic and aesthetic antithesis of the white-skinned, white-bread Osmonds. Then came the raised cheekbones, thinned nose and lightened skin that transformed him into … something else. The surgeon’s knife did not make Jackson white exactly, but it did not leave him looking black either. Instead he took on the characteristics of a transracial experiment, a combination of features that had never before been seen collected in one human being. In the process, Jackson proved that race was a construct by altering his face beyond all racial definition. If ever there was a candidate to tick the box “Other” on the racial categories of forms, it was him. If his first attempt at racial conversion was cosmetic, his second, more recent one has been political. Only this time he is going in the other direction. In what may yet prove to be his boldest transformation yet, Jackson is trying to reinvent himself as black.Under siege from both reporters and prosecutors, following charges of seven counts of child molestation, Jackson has reportedly teamed up with the black Muslim racial separatist organization the Nation of Islam. Among other things, the Nation supports the creation of a separate country for black Americans and was founded on the principle that white people – literally born with tails and fur – are devils.Jackson’s former spokesman, Stuart Backerman, resigned two weeks ago, claiming that leading members of the Nation have begun making decisions for Jackson on strategy for his legal defense, business affairs and dealing with the media. The Nation’s chief of staff and Minister Louis Farrakhan’s son-in-law, Leonard Farrakhan, is now working out of the Los Angeles office of Jackson’s lawyer Mark Geragos.”The Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan’s son-in-law have taken over completely and are in full and total charge,” one senior Jackson employee, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the New York Times. “They have gone in and taken over control of the finances in terms of who’s getting paid, how much,” the employee added. “They’re approving all funds and have decided they have control of the business manager and accountant, without signing authority or power of attorney. They are working out of Geragos’s office; in essence they’re telling him what to do.” “These people are basically brainwashing him,” said the associate, who is also a friend of Jackson’s. “They tried to do the same thing to Whitney Houston. They offer a false sense that they can control everything. Everyone is scared of them. They pretty much keep Michael semi-captive.” Another Jackson employee said: “They’re negotiating business deals with him. They’re negotiating media deals, who can talk, how much. You’ve got a lawyer who’s scared to throw them out. Michael doesn’t know what to do with them.”Both the Nation and Jackson insiders deny the claim. “The idea that there is some takeover by the Nation of Islam – someone is spinning you,” said Gregaros. “Nobody has told me what to do and what not to do. Leonard, I believe, is someone Michael consults with, just like in excess of 25 people.” But just a couple days earlier, during a recent televised news conference, Benjamin Muhammad, a senior member of the Nation, was there, larger than life, standing behind Geragos. Quite how a celebrity who has been in flight from his racial features, let alone his racial identity, ended up in the arms of an organization that is defined by race is a moot point. Why a socially conservative institution committed to racial uplift should open its arms to a man charged with child molestation is similarly baffling. At the heart of it, however, lies not just Jackson and the Nation but three of America’s most intense obsessions after terrorism: race, crime and celebrity. The most generous explanation would be that, given the state he had got himself into, Jackson was once again in desperate need of new management and representation. The Nation has some experience in that field, as well as providing security, and was only too pleased to help. Its anti-white rhetoric has mellowed in recent years – indeed, you will find a handful of white supporters at its annual convention – and it has been attempting to reach out to some communities it had previously alienated. But because it remains self-sufficient and independent of the white power structure, the Nation is always there to catch prominent black people brought low by scandal, when no one else will touch them. Attend its large meetings and you will see Marion Barry, the former mayor of DC filmed taking crack with a prostitute. Benjamin Chavis was fired as head of the nation’s oldest civil rights organization, the NAACP, after he diverted £200,000 to settle a sexual harassment claim. Now he is Benjamin Muhammad. Jackson, then, is just one more lost sheep coming back to the fold.A more cynical theory is that this is one more black celebrity marriage made in opportunism. Forced yet again to explain himself out of a sordid hole, Jackson has fallen back on the defense of last resort: the hidey-hole of identity politics. He is being pursued not for what he has done, but for who he is.Sadly, the latter interpretation is the more likely. Following the familiar pattern of the trials of both OJ Simpson and Sean “Puffy” Combs, Jackson is yet another African-American celebrity whose interest in anti-racism has coincided with finding himself in trouble. The handcuffs click and the rest of the story writes itself. They reach for Johnny Cochrane’s number (the one call it appears Jackson has yet to make, but who was first on the Rolodex when OJ and Puffy needed representation), then they start to circle the wagons, mobilizing the broader community to protest their plight. Amid the noise, the gravity of the original charge – murder, manslaughter, pedophilia – gets lost.It is not the first time that Jackson has chosen to identify with the African-American community at moments that were more propitious for himself than for the community. Eighteen months ago he rode through Harlem with the African-American presidential candidate, Al Sharpton, accusing record companies of being racist. “The record companies really, really do conspire against the artists,” Jackson told an audience of 350 at Sharpton’s headquarters. “They steal, they cheat, they do whatever they can. Especially against the black artists.”In a bitter denunciation of his record label, Jackson said of Sony’s chairman, Tommy Mottola: “He’s mean, he’s a racist, and he’s very, very, very devilish.” Referring to one African American artist, Jackson said, Mottola “called him a fat black nigger … And I can’t deal with that, you know. It’s wrong.” One wonders whether Jackson – rarely seen in Harlem before or since – had only just realized this, or whether the epiphany had anything to do with a flagging career.Sony dismissed the comments as “spiteful and hurtful”, implying that the campaign reflected Jackson’s own frustrations at the recent shrinking of the market for his work after his album, Invincible, sold only two million copies worldwide and Sony demanded that he pay back tens of millions spent on promoting the new album. And his accusation against Mottola was not the last time Jackson would use the word racism to describe his treatment. On the day when he was led into the Santa Barbara court in handcuffs, his brother, Jermaine, called CNN and went live on air stating, “This is nothing but a modern-day lynching.”Nor is it first time that the Nation has provided security for or helped manage celebrities. Its most famous client was Muhammad Ali – although he, of course, was a member. But more recently, it provided security for OJ Simpson during his trial, Sean Combs during the height of the rap wars, and for a host of other rappers and artists. The Nation is not just a religious organization but a business. It does not hook up with embattled black people through altruism, but because there is either some political or financial gain through the association. The group did not want to be too closely linked with Ali initially because he was expected to lose to Sonny Liston. What its true motivations are we will probably never know. Michael Jackson is a complex character. What is going on in his mind is no easier to discern than the original features on his face. Similarly, the Nation is a highly secretive organization not given to the kind of free exchange of information that might shed some light on its strategy. But while this union may be driven by cynicism, it is made credible by racism. The reason trials such as these revert to such an atavistic and visceral level which can resonate so strongly among African-Americans is because the last hidey-hole of identity politics is often the first place black Americans end up. They are all too often pursued not because of who they are, but what they do. According to a report by the US justice department, if current trends continue, black men born in the United States in 2001 will have a one-in-three chance of going to prison during their lifetime. “Our contemporary prisons basically replicate the social order that produced the offenders to begin with,” Mark Kleiman, a professor of public policy at the University of California at Los Angeles, told Atlantic Monthly magazine. Given such statistics, racism becomes a powerful rally cry when any prominent black American stands before the law. Whether African Americans will answer the call remains to be seen. What is certain is that Jackson has few other places to go. Having discovered that there is more to race than physiology, Jackson has clearly realized that no amount of celebrity can allow him to live the logic of his lyrics. In America, in the 21st century, it does matter whether you’re black or white. Jackson understands how this might work to his advantage in a tight spot. Sadly, we have yet to find any evidence that this awareness might benefit anyone other than himself. A very enlightening article, I must say. Despite a few flaws and assumptions, it was cute. Extremely predictable, but very nicely written. Lets examine the headline. Younge implies that Jackson has spent years attempting to obliterate any trace of his African American roots, and suddenly bring forth accusations of child molestation in 2003, he is inept in embracing the black community. My question, what obliteration of his roots, and when did this take place? When has he not embraced the black community? And how did he go about it? What was it than, when he was in his youth, throwing the black power fist in the air along side his brothers in the Jackson 5? What was it than, when it is a fact that Michael Jackson is the single most donor of the Negro College Fund? What was it than, that Michael Jackson’s inspiration and idol since his adolescence was James Brown, who wrote the lyrics “Say it loud / I’m black and proud”? [1] [2] [3] [4] What was it than, when he firmly corrected critics that he was never influenced, phased or emulated Elvis Presley? Why was his [The Jacksons] song title ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ renamed to ‘This Place Hotel’ citing in his autobiography, Jackson reveals that he was not a fan of Presley, and it did not enter his mind? [1] What was it than, Michael Jackson doing being good friends with Nelson Mandella? What was it than, inspiring and embracing the black youth and adults during the height of his popularity [Thriller] of what accomplishments an African-American as young as he can accomplish? [1] What was it than, that took the risk in buying The Beatles catalog, something he was severely criticized for ever since, including Sir. Paul McCartney (despite his admittance that he gave Jackson the idea into music publishing) insinuating he has no right, as a black man, to own such catalogs? Stepping out of his place? Being a threat? How long has it been where these detractors have made it their business to take this away from him? Spread false lies that he no longer has them because he is in financial struggle? What was it than, Michael Jackson visiting Africa several times, spending his time in orphanages, hospitals and other places among the poor? What was it than, Michael Jackson being crowned a King in the small village of Senegal, Africa in 1992? [1] [2] [3] What was it than, Michael Jackson dedicated one of his eight Grammy awards in 1984 to the recent passing of Jackie Wilson? [1] What was it than, Michael Jackson giving Little Richard his publishing back when acquiring the SONY/ATV catalog? [1] What was it than, when Michael Jackson attended James Brown’s funeral in 2006 when many black artists couldn’t be bothered? [1] [2] What was it than, when Michael Jackson sang ‘You Were There’ to Sammy Davis Jr. during a tribute performance in 1990? [1] Why was it than, when he is repeatedly given NAACP Image awards? [1] [2] [3] What was it than, when Michael Jackson portrayed ancient Egyptians as African Americans with their natural hair in his music video, ‘Remember The Time’ in 1992, which was directed by John Singleton? [1] [2] What was it than, when Michael Jackson invited busloads of disadvantaged and/or underprivileged black children and their families from the inner cities to visit his home Neverland Ranch Valley, to experience a place outside their homes — people who’ve never seen anything outside their doorstep? Or the donation of textbooks to their schools? [1] What was it than, the burned down churches that Michael Jackson helped pay rebuild? What was it than, his attendance of Barry White’s funeral, who’s passing went virtually unnoticed? [1] [2] What was it than, his attendance of Johnnie Cochran’s funeral? [1] [2] What was it than, his payment of one of the members of the Temptations funeral who could not afford it? No, really. What was it? When and why did this take place, and why haven’t I been notified of this occurrence? When did Michael Jackson make it his business to stray away from his African American roots? When was it, Michael Jackson suddenly woke up one day and decided he wanted to be white? It certainly wasn’t for popularity or success; he already had international worldwide appeal and the biggest selling album of all time [Thriller] when he was visibly brown skin. Was it the nose that sealed the deal in your mind? Or was it his skin progressively becoming lighter, for reasons you did not bother to understand or investigate why or HOW was this possible? Surely if a self hating black person were to be able to obtain a product to ‘lighten’ their skin, the world would produce at least ONE person who has done this as well? Michael Jackson is whiter than a white person; a porcelain white shade. What would be the purpose or goal of that procedure (had this been scientifically possible without having some sort of skin disorder depigmentation) of being this pale? Of being accused of turning away from his race, and having to ‘make up’ some faux disease excuse? (Katt Williams, pay attention. And if Paul Mooney can see through the child molestation case, and you can’t, there may be something wrong with you?). Please tell me and explain in full detail the timeline and motive Michael Jackson had as you put as an ‘obliteration’ of his African American roots? In spite of some odd 3 years later written article, that is. And lastly, one quote: Of all his travels, he says his most emotional and moving experiences came in travels in Dakar, Senegal. “I’m going to raise my hand (to God) on this one,” he lit up like a light. “I always thought that Blacks, as far as artistry, were the most talented race on earth. But when I went to Africa, I was even more convinced. They do incredible things over there….They got the beats and the rhythm. I really see where drums come from. It makes you think that all Blacks have rhythm…I don’t want the Blacks to ever forget that this is where we come from and where our music comes from. And if we forget, it (Black history) would really get lost. I want us to remember.” JET Interview–August 16, 1979 http://floacist.wordpress...ack-again/

Michael originally owned 100% of the ATV catalogue. The reason he's lost at least half of it is precisely because of the pattern Raymone Bain is describing in that sentence. Don't forget he's also lost Neverland. Yawn, and again twisting things to prove your point! MJ hasn't "lost" half of the ATV catalogue... he used it to create an even bigger publishing company of which he owns 50 percent! And he certainly wasn't forced to this as in '95 the dough was still rolling in in the millions (Dangerous album and tour, HIStory album and tour)! And he hasn't "lost" Neverland... since June '05 he doesn't live there anymore, so he simply moved on! Besides, he's still part owner of Neverland!

MJ has been involved in two major child abuse cases, and himself was abused as a child. he follows a common pattern. this is standard psychological profiling now i presume you aren't male, thus don't know what it's like to go through male puberty and move through teenage life, but let me tell you, hormones rage like wildfire and sexual desire drives you. whilst perhaps some guys may try and avoid temptation as they are deeply religious, i doubt that's the case with MJ as he gave up his religeon, which isn't something you would do if you were a strong follower. if he was saving himself until marriage, why didn't he consumate his marraige with debbie rowe? if he was so concerned about the religious aspect of marriage, surely he would have consummated the marriage even if he was gay? why marry someone if you don't want to consumate the marriage? it just doesn't make sense for him to have married her. considering she never see's her kids, it doesn't make sense for him to have married her so the children couldn't be thought of as bastards. they have one of the most unusual lifestyles as it is, so what difference does it matter if he was married to their mother. he wasn't married to the mother of the last child and whilst it's understandable that people may want to keep relationships quiet at the early stages, so as not to tempt fate or add more difficulties to building a relationship, most people in love want to be open about it and want people to know they are in love and be happy. and whilst i'm not a woman myself, and fuck knows what the fuck goes on inside a womans head, one thing i have learned is that if you don't tell people you are dating the woman, she will go fucking batshit crazy he could be very picky when it comes to choosing woman, but in his entire life the only two women we really know he had a relationship with in 50 years is elvis daughter, and debbie rowe. the fact that he married her is all the evidence you need that he isn't picky in choosing women. i'm sure she has a nice personality, but she's hardly anyones dream woman. if there was ever a woman that you didn't want the world to know about, it would be her. the fact that he had a high profile marraige with lisa marie and another with debbie doesn't suggest that he is one to keep relationships a secret does anyone have any real explanation as to why he would marry debbie btw? I'll make this one my last post in this thread He married Debbie because Lisa wouldn't his baby. It's been said he found out that Lisa was still on birth control, left and wouldn't talk to her. It was rumored that he told her if she wouldn't have his baby, he would find someone who would, and Debbie was a willing participant There were other girlfriends like Stephanie Mills, Brooke Shields (yeah, it looks like they actually DID date ) Theresa Gonsalves... i agree 100% http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=related in fact lisa marie was upset that he had a baby without her. she couldn't even stay away. here she is going to visit him AFTER they got divorced

Lisa Marie's actions say something else compared to what she tells the media.
If the man is so manipulative and a user, why was she still hanging out with him after they divorced and he got married to Debbie Rowe?

[Edited 5/28/09 12:24pm] that's a damn shame..... Riley, her daughter, is going to model for Mango and she recently gave a n interview where she talks about him. Riley Keough Presley: "I have gone over to my grandmother Priscilla (PUBLISHED SUNDAY)
Before going I say, politely, that I should not ask anything about Scientology, creed which professed seen the interview, nor about alleged relationships. Sitting next to Riley, who first visit to Spain, found her publicist and a friend, and are not willing to stand up. In the background is the translator of the listener. Another of these interviews full of political commissars ... It is as if the granddaughter of Elvis Presley (19 year old, blonde, candid, seemingly shy and scared a) the press will go to infect swine flu. So I am surprised that she has not placed a mask. QUESTION: Riley, what name so ... original. Does it mean anything? ANSWER: I'm Irish. Well, I was born in Los Angeles, but my father (the musician Danny Keough) is Irish. And I had a name that comes from Ireland. Q: And your last name is pronounced ... R: 'Kio', is also Irish. Q: But you use more Presley. A: No, no. Presley is the maiden name of my mother. I am Riley Keough, pure and simple. Q: So in your face is something of your famous grandfather. R: See? I do not need the name (laughs). I take writing in the face. Q: Has worked for Dior, Dolce & Gabbana ... ¿Mango is not too casual for you? A: Absolutely not. It is an honor that I have chosen the image. I love to make quality clothing at a good price. Q: In one month turns 20. Would you like to move to the score? A: Well ... The truth is that I love being a 'teenager'. I'm not exactly looking forward to meet the twenty. Q: What good is being an adolescent? A: It lets you do more nonsense ... Just kidding. Q: Teens often difficult. A: It is not my case. I've never been a difficult teenager. Seriously, I've always been pretty good girl. I have my moments of rebellion, but in general I have been obedient. Q: Your mother, Lisa Marie Presley, despite having been a rebel, has a reputation for being very strict on their children's education. A: It is. Even the 18 years she put many limits, such as not arriving home late. But now I have the majority, I am an adult. Q: Is it true that the parade 14 years in Milan against the will of his mother? A: Not really. But it is true that at first she was very skeptical. Was concerned that the business of fashion can be a tough environment for a child. In the end, agreed. Q: You worked with Kate Moss. How is it? A: Great. I love it. Q: Do you want to look like her? A: I have thought about doing this for the rest of my life. I do not know very well what I am going to dedicate ... Q: What music, perhaps? A: I love playing the piano, but I never devoted to music in a professional manner. Q: To avoid comparisons? R: So because I never thought about being a singer. Yes I wanted to be a classical pianist. But it was not difficult because I learned music theory. I play the piano by ear. I guess it was something in the genes ... Q: Elvis, your grandfather, is a myth. For you too? A: It seems strange that, no. I feel for him so any grandchild feels towards his grandfather, except, of course, for that little ... difference. Q: You have known, but what image is it? A: At home I was never said: "This was your grandfather and was a big myth." Just grew up with it, seeing it everywhere. And finally accepted as something natural. Of course, I admire. I love his music. I grew up with it. It is something that is still alive. Q: The music or your grandfather? A: (Laughs) His music, of course, not him. Q: Do you understand the fanaticism around Graceland? A: Sure. It seems crazy, but logical, because he did something really big. Q: You landed on several front pages with your mother and grandmother, Priscilla. Is there something in common in women Presley? A. In regard to personality? No. We are totally different. My mother is probably the strongest of the three. My grandmother is sweeter. I've gone over it. Q: Your mother has been married several times ... (Here the journalist involved, with a dry cut, "Please ask to talk fashion," ordering). Q. Riley, does not want to answer that? A. Well, I wanted to ask what exactly? Q: If you are afraid to pass him like your mother in their marriages with Nicholas Cage and Michael Jackson, which lasted only a few months. A: I do not know. I have not thought of marrying. "No boyfriend ' Q: Upon entering, I have been asked not to ask for her boyfriend. A: You can ask. But at this point is that I am not dating anybody. Q: I have also been warned not ask about Scientology. (Again involving the publicist: "Riley, do not answer to that). A: Excuse me, but is it a secret cult or something? I see Tom Cruise as hidden ... A: No, no ... (Laughter) Of course, it is no secret. But it is a personal choice and not be able to explain it. Q: Tell me then, its principles. A: My principles are: integrity, being faithful to your beliefs and do not hurt other people. Q: Is a conservative girl? A: I do not know. Let me think ... I think not much. Q: Have you recently seen your former stepfather, Michael Jackson? A: No. I have no contact with him. Q: What about bad memories? A: No, no, oh no. All good. BTW, she is very beautiful. STRAINED MICHAEL JACKSON leaves a medical centre — with a bag printed with the stark words: “Skin cancer.”
Thriller singer Jacko, 50, visited a top dermatologist in Beverly Hills, California, every day last week as he battles the disease. It is not known what was in the bag, carried by a minder. It read: “Diseases of the skin, skin cancer and skin cancer chemosurgery.” The star has had a shave biopsy op to remove dangerous growths and to see if he needs more treatment. He has also seen experts to minimise scarring. A close source said: “He’s putting on a brave face but is absolutely terrified.” Jacko is due to play 50 gigs at London’s O2 this summer, but the opening night has already been postponed to July 13. http://www.thesun.co.uk/s...ancer.html

MICHAEL JACKSON faces having to scrap MORE of his UK concerts so he can battle skin cancer, it emerged last night.
Shock ... Sun, May 16 Shock ... Sun, May 16 The Sun The superstar, 50 — diagnosed last month — may have to undergo gruelling radiotherapy to beat the disease. Pals fear it means Jacko, who has already had to postpone the first four UK dates of his 50-show tour, could be left so exhausted that other July gigs will be hit. Specialists in California’s Beverly Hills have removed potentially lethal growths from his nose and arm. Temptation But they are worried about a patch that remains on his chest. One treatment option is to remove it layer by layer — which would not impact on his tour. But many experts insist radiotherapy is more effective. Advertisement A close source said last night: “Michael has a devil of a decision. The temptation is to go for the treatment which will allow him to perform. “The last thing he wants is to let down his fans. But it may well turn out that radiation therapy is still needed if the cancer is deep in his cells. “That can have really nasty side effects and leave him unable to sing at all.” The shelving of the first four sellout concerts at London’s O2 arena left 80,000 fans disappointed last week. The source said: “Everyone is praying that more dates will still go ahead.” Last night a spokesman for Jacko insisted: “He is in great health.” http://www.thesun.co.uk/s...ancer.html

@ 2:43. I just posted this because I felt that many people were fans of michael at that time because they were hyping him up at the time. I think that a lot of those people became fans of him because he was hot at the time. they had never listened to his music before then. I saw that someone wrote on another fan board that some people got thriller because of they wanted one because everyone else was getting one, not because of the music. But someone commented on this video and say that we will never see all races and ages love someone like Michael Jackson again...I totally agree with this statement. What do you think about everything I said? [Edited 5/29/09 8:33am] [Edited 5/29/09 8:35am]
