Introduce me to Ani

So somehow I have managed to only ever hear two of Ms. DiFranco's songs that I am aware of. One being Providence, and the other some semi-spoken word thing about the shock of 9/11, the name of which escapes me.

So help me out, DiFranco fans. Where should I go from here?

All of her stuff is cool but I love "Dilate". That was my 1st intro to her.

"to the teeth" is great too.

Not A Pretty Girl is great ~ many of her albums are. One thing I would suggest is that you try to see her live. It is quite an experience ~ she's touring now and often does small venues. She is doing some small summer festivals as well ~ I think one in Michigan with Bob Dylan.

Those were hardcore for first intros! Glad it struck a chord with you. A lot of people walk away from those but I love them.

I'd also reccommend her '93 compilation "Like I Said", it's a good intro 2 classic Ani Style. "Dilate" is a masterpiece. I'm also very fond of "Little Plastic Castles".

ALSO, "Living in Clip" is a great live album of hers.
