Too bad MJ can't play the guitar. Then he wouldn't have to depend on the kindness of others.

Too bad for you, that so many topics concerning the music of Micahel Jackson are always up. Darling, music comes in many forms. he doesn't have to play anything, his job is to make fabulous music. that's more than enough.

In a recent issue of Sister To Sister magazine, there was some more news on MJ's future plans. They say that he is starting a new independent label (Neverland Records) that will be distributed by Clive Davis' J Records label. They also say that Michael wants Rodney Jerkins to be in charge of the label.
Have you guys heard any more info on this?

I've read a lot of conflicting reports about what MJ's future plans are. [This message was edited Thu Dec 19 5:12:58 PST 2002 by Cloudbuster]

I've read that MJ CAN play the guitar. Albeit not exactly on Prince's level (who can?), but better than you may expect.

Yeah, there are so many rumors going around. The only thing we know for certain is that he HAS recorded some new tracks with Irv Gotti (Murder Inc.) because Irv has confirmed this himself. And now we hear about the songs with Barry Gibb. So,clearly he is working on some new project.I predict he will have a new album ready by summer 2003.

Let's hope so. But i heard that he's tied to his Sony contract until 2004 which mean he can't release any new music until then. Fingers crossed it's just another lie about the man!

I think he owes Sony one more album and that will be a Greatest Hits CD with a few bonus tracks added. They can pretty much compile it without his assistance. But,from what I heard,he is now free to release music on another label. He recently met with Universal to discuss a possible deal.

That would be nice if he and Mariah did a duet.
Anyway, i like that "Raphael Saddiq" / "Lucy Pearl" vibe he had going on with "Break Of Dawn" "Heaven Can Wait" & "Butterflies". Tracks with soul really work 4 him. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Patti LaBelle and James Brown can't play guitar either.Does that make them untalented? James Brown plays piano...he plays it on Sex Machine. And he plays drums as well. He played the drums on "Night Train" in one take!!!
