Oh my....I remember seeing this on a PBS special about him back in the day. "I Want You" is my favorite song, too. I believe that pained expression he makes at the start of this clip is from the ending of "The Lord's Prayer". If my memory serves me correctly, he sang it live in a church during the taping of this special. I could be remembering it wrong, though.
Anyway, thanks for posting this. I used to rewind this clip over and over just to hear this version back during my Marvin obsessed days lol.....he messed up the words a little....but that bass was poppin'... lol  "Be glad for what you had baby, what you've got..." | |
