My Jam of the Day: Lou Rawls - Let Me Be Good To You

I love this song. It doesn't get mentioned as much as Lady Love and You'll Never Find, but it is one of his finest Philly International trax.

Lou was too cool, this cut and "I'll See You When I Get There" are my two favorite Lou cuts.

I love that one also. I especially love how he was rapping to the lady. He really had the gift of rap.

"I really hope this woman don't put me through no changes today" Yeah Lou's rap in that song is classic especially in the beginning when borrows the quarter from the guy to make a phone call.

SoulAlive

music GREAT SONG! I highly recommend Lou's albums that were produced by Gamble and Huff, particularly these ones...

All Things In Time (1976)
Unmistakably Lou (1976)
When You Hear Lou,You've Heard It All (1977)
Sit Down And Talk To Me (1978)
Let Me Be Good To You (1979)

Philly Soul at its best!
