They remastered Give Me the Reason, Never Too Much, Forever For Always, For Love, and Power of Love. They haven't touched Busy Body, Any Love or The Night I Fell In Love. Of all of his albums, Any Love is the worst sounding. The mastering is HORRIBLE. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I STILL kick myself that I didn't see him in the 90s the various times that he came. Now, I make it a point to see most "legends" when they come thru regardless of if I'm a fan or not. No..this show was in '87 w/Shirley Murdock opening. I hate I miss the tour w/ Anita.

It just seems like with those last 2, in the 80's, he was in the middle of transition into soul/pop.

I have a hard time picking a favorite Luther Vandross album, but it would definitely be one of the first three. You're right, those albums are classic. I actually didn't care for 'Any Love'.The title track is great, but the other songs were sorta bland to me.Not one of his finest albums.

I will admit that I didn't like the album when I first got it, but I learned to like it when I saw the concert. I fell in love with "Crazy Love". That is one of his best vocal performances on that project. I also loved "Nobody To Love", "Whether or Not The World Gets Better", "I Can Make It Better", "Too Proud To Beg", "This Time I'm Right", and "Going Out Of My Head". When Luther made this album, he wasn't very happy with his record company. He was not happy with the amount of success he was having. He didn't understand how he could be selling out arenas and only selling 1million or less every time. He was ready to leave Sony. That's probably why we got 3 remakes and 2 old songs he had written for another protoge project (I can't recall the guy's name now, but Luther was in LOVE with this guy). This album is kind of inconsistent, but the story of love he's telling is not a very good one on this one. I love the album, but it definitely reflect what was going on in his life at that time. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Damn, mine too! A lot of people I know are never really feeling this song. But, I love it. Their voices compliment each other so well. My second favorite is "Don't Want to Be a Fool." [Edited 4/25/09 15:37pm]

agree.. should've omitted the hip-hop mess U must have never heard "I Know". The hip-hop crap with the rapper Precise was horrid. I actually liked Dance With My Father as a whole. I really enjoyed these tracks. I wish the remix of Lovely Day didn't have Busta Rhymes, but I did like the way the sample of The Commodores song, "Say Yes" was used. 2. Think About You Listen 3. If It Ain't One Thing... (featuring Foxy Brown) 4. Buy Me A Rose 5. The Closer I Get To You 7. Dance With My Father 8. She Saw You 9. Apologize 11. Right In The Middle 13. I agree with that too. A lot of people were calling it the best, but I think it was because of the circumstances. It's the type of album that sounds as if it was put together by Clive Davis.I've never liked hearing rappers on a Luther Vandross album. It's not his style at all.
