They remastered Give Me the Reason, Never Too Much, Forever For Always, For Love, and Power of Love. They haven't touched Busy Body, Any Love or The Night I Fell In Love. Of all of his albums, Any Love is the worst sounding. The mastering is HORRIBLE.

Luther's 1st 4 albums are soul classics. Not to take anything away from Give Me The Reason and Any Love. It just seems like with those last 2, in the 80's, he was in the middle of transition into soul/pop.

If we're talking about the worst Luther album, to me, it's "I Know". That album is pure garbage. The next worst album to me would either be Never Let Me Go or Songs. As a matter of fact, Songs is even worse.

I actually love that album. It is the last "great" album at Sony. I will admit that I didn't like the album when I first got it, but I learned to like it when I saw the concert. I fell in love with "Crazy Love". That is one of his best vocal performances on that project. I also loved "Nobody To Love", "Whether or Not The World Gets Better", "I Can Make It Better", "Too Proud To Beg", "This Time I'm Right", and "Going Out Of My Head".

When Luther made this album, he wasn't very happy with his record company. He was not happy with the amount of success he was having. He didn't understand how he could be selling out arenas and only selling 1million or less every time. He was ready to leave Sony. That's probably why we got 3 remakes and 2 old songs he had written for another protoge project (I can't recall the guy's name now, but Luther was in LOVE with this guy).

This album is kind of inconsistent, but the story of love he's telling is not a very good one on this one. I love the album, but it definitely reflect what was going on in his life at that time.

I agree with you about 'Songs'.I didn't like that album at all.In the past,Luther's remakes were incredible but on that album,the remakes are a snoozefest.Plus,he chose many songs that really didn't need to be remade ("Always And Forever",for example).This project was sorta pointless.

I actually liked Dance With My Father as a whole.
I really enjoyed these tracks. I wish the remix of Lovely Day didn't have Busta Rhymes, but I did like the way the sample of The Commodores song, "Say Yes" was used.
