Nice use of a Slick Rick, sample. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I thought I would be hearing these "modern classics" a lot more often on the radio, but instead they just stopped updating their playlists for the last ten years.
I heard "If You Had My Love" (Jennifer Lopez) on the radio this morning, like it was nothin'. Like, oh we're just playing this old joint that we never cleared off our playlist. I was more than pleased when I heard a 1993 Toni Braxton song on the radio as the "throwback" though (a different station).

People have no respect for oldschool music these days "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

as far as??? sound? singing? stage presents? You cannot compare the two. Aside from both of them being girl groups, they were two completely different groups. They were also geared to different audiences. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Love it, but it's my least favourite of the 4 fantastic CrazySexyCool singles.
Always found it funny how this was released at the same time with Madonna's "Secret" and they had the same producer and backbeat. The horns from this song recall Madonna's "Survival" too.

Not for me: Red Light Special >> Creep >> Waterfalls >> Diggin' On You all of them are great songs though, with the exception of "diggin" being only good, not great.

Being that this is a Prince fan site, I'm surprised no one one else heard this song as a complete rip of Anna Stesia. The melodies are too close to ignore. Plus they're all huge Prince fans. Especially producer Dallas Austin. [Edited 4/25/09 12:53pm] Release Yourself

Both have awfully static melodies though.

Great song from an awesome album. "Red Light Special" is still my all-time favorite from 'CrazySexyCool' though. Man, for me, TLC is still the best girl group to emerge from the 90s. Miss them soo much. RIP Left-eye Prince Rogers Nelson

I think that's a bit of a stretch, you make it seem it was a carbon copy of the melody, but it's not.

Never said carbon copy. The phrasing of the lead vocal and chord progression are too similar to not hear it. But it's what I hear, maybe not some others. They were big fans of Prince though. TLC even did a cover of "Get It Up" from the first Time album. Release Yourself
