Did anyone else watch the MTV UK programme on the weekend that was the results show for the Greatest Albums of the MTV generation (since the channel launched in 1981). The program counted down the top ten but the top twenty were:-

Can't really argue with the number one I guess, an undoubted classic, and Appetite is a fave of mine so its nice to see it in the number 3 spot. But Craig David at number 2...what the hell? Its a good album, but damn, that's just wrong. No Sign of the Times but a shout for Purple Rain at least. And two Oasis albums in the top ten, no Foos, no Smashing Pumpkins, no Chilli Peppers, no Metallica, no 2-Pac, no Coldplay, no Jeff Buckley, I could go on....I think its more a sign of who voted than anything else!!
