GREEN DAY at Fox Theatre, Oakland 4-14

I received my e-mail from the Idiot Club, (yeah I am an idiot), about 45 minutes before the public sale.I was very happy to see the e-mail titled Fox Theatre Winners. Two tickets are being held at willcall for $49.50 each. I heard the album is done and they will be playing tracks from the soon to be released 21st Century Breakdown.I heard they are filming it too. I can't wait for the show, I have never seen them in such a small venue,(2800) I will let you know how it goes.

I just got back from the show and the new songs sound great. They started the show by playing the soon to be released 21st Century Breakdown CD in its entirety. If you liked Ameriacn Idiot, I think you will like the new one. The sound was good, except the vocals could have been louder and clearer. It seems like there was quite a bit of keyboards and even some sax on new songs. It is a different sound than they used to have, with the additional guitar player and keyboard player, but I like it. After they finished the new CD, they took a short break and came back out playing American Idiot,Jesus of Suburbia, and Holiday(in order). They also played Longview,Minority,St. Jimmy,Homecoming,
King for a Day,Shout,Welcome to Paradise(not necessarily in that order). I know I probably forgot a few, but after a 2 and a half hour show my mind and body are spent. I was about 12 people away from the stage, just to the left of Billie Joe. He is a great frontman and it is always nice to be close enough for his crazy facial expressions. They filmed the show and I sure hope it is released.I definately recommend seein Green Day live.
