- Performing This Week Tops DVD Charts This Week! -

NEW YORK, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeff Beck's Performing This Week...Live From Ronnie Scott's DVD has hit #1 on this week's music DVD Soundscan charts! Released by Eagle Rock Entertainment on March 31, this DVD had a debut of #2 last week, and was released simultaneously with a Blu-ray installment (which charted #20 this week).

"Seeing Jeff achieve a number one DVD chart position for his debut DVD, just after it charted at number two in its first week, gives me a tremendous sense of pride," states Mike Carden, President of Operations North America for Eagle Rock Entertainment. "We are thrilled to have been able to present Jeff in one of the best performances of his career. Thanks to the efforts of all at Eagle, Fontana, and the retailers who believed in the project. Lastly thanks to the consumers who bought the DVD and the CD"

Featuring the guitar great backed by bassist Tal Wilkenfeld, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, and keyboardist Jason Rebello, with guest appearances by Eric Clapton, Joss Stone, and Imogen Heap, Performing This Week... has garnered rave reviews and has quickly become a fan favorite. I got my GA ticket for Thu. April 23 at the Fox Theatre in Oakland. I saw Green Day play there last night and the venue is beautiful. It will be my fourth time seeing Beck and I plan on being right up front. Its always nice to witness those fingers upclose. Can't wait.

A couple of points:

1.I've always liked Mickey Waller's drumming.

2.Jeff Beck would slaughter Prince on guitar

Jeff Beck has great respect for Prince. He rented Prince's facility in Minneapolis before the '95 USA tour with Santana. Prince strolled in the shadows to watch and Jeff stated he could hardly continue having Mr. Nelson watch.
I would like to see Prince produce Mr. Beck, that would be an incredible match.
