The High End Of Low - yay or nay? anyone feelin' the new Marilyn Manson CD? I'm just on my second listen, but there's this great undercurrent that I hear throughout the whole album.

Nay.
I agree on the undercurrent, but it should have had surfaced itself far much more.

My first listen I was so dissapointed (especially after the awful eat me drink me), the second listen I thought ok yea this is getting better, I could not finish it a third time. I was excited to hear that Twiggy was back, but I think Manson kind of ruins it being Manson. Unkillable Monster--really?

At least it has the word "monster" in its title.
![]() In short, if an album is supposed to be edgy, it would be preferred if it did also sound genuinely edgy. There are some moments where they get back to what they did together rather well when they were younger, but it all is abandoned all too soon for pop schmaltz and Manic Street Preachers -type of power choruses. Manson could at least try to be visually a bit scarier once again - it's obvious though from the latest video that he has to work now with rather limited budgets though.

I haven't bought the album yet because I felt burned by EMDM. ![]()

Good grief, is he STILL making records?!
Give it up, man, give it up! This is not an exit
