Agreed. In my opinion, it's just a pointless ten minute guitar wank. It does absolutely NOTHING for me. It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

That's a silly argument and has always been a silly argument - so I'm throwing that brick right back upside yo' head. If I understand the concepts of the art I'm critiquing, I don't have to be able to do better as a surveyor, or in this case, as a listener. As a musician, I understand the concept behind a guitar solo using the pentatonic scale in the context of a funk/rock song. So it's safe to say I never thought Eddie Hazel played anything interesting in that guitar solo. Do I have to be able to play a more interesting guitar solo to prove my point? Not at all! | |
