OK, I'm cheating as well. I got it down to 11 and even that was painful (both Bee Gees songs and "Bad Girls" gone!).

1. My Sharona - The Knack
3. Le Freak - Chic
6. I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor
7. Hot Stuff - Donna Summer
12. MacArthur Park - Donna Summer
15. Fire - The Pointer Sisters
18. Heart of Glass - Blondie
19. What a Fool Believes - The Doobie Brothers
20. Good Times - Chic
25. Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground) - The Jacksons
28. My Life - Billy Joel

"My Life" is easily my favorite Billy Joel song. "What a Fool Believes" is by far my favorite song of the year -- it's not even remotely close.

She certainly did nod In 1978/79,it was crazy. It seemed like, every few weeks, she had yet another big hit single. The moment that one song would die down, she would have another song all ready to go,lol. When 1979 began, folks were still enjoying "Heaven Knows",but then a few weeks later,we started hearing "Hot Stuff",soon to be followed by "Bad Girls".Another single, "Dim All The Lights",was actually still high on the charts when we started hearing "Enough Is Enough",which was soon followed by "On The Radio"...lol...1979 was truly her year.

Out of these 30 songs, there are only three tunes that I don't really like:

"Y.M.C.A" by the Village People---too campy and dumb, like most of their hits
"Sad Eyes" by Robert John---I hate his falsetto near the end lol
"You Don't Bring Me Flowers" by Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond---I actually like alot of schmaltzy ballads from this period, but not this snoozefest of a song...lol..

Love that song headbang headbang Michael Jackson was inspired by this song when he wrote "Beat It".He wanted a loud rock song in the same vein as "My Sharona".

"Survive" is my least favorite precisely because it's so overplayed. Normally I'd think it was just okay. "Bell" however has that chorus that is like scratching nails on a blackboard--can't stand it.
