LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Rock legend Stevie Nicks is sounding off on reports that Lindsay Lohan wants to buy the rights to the Fleetwood Mac singer's life story and play her on the big screen.

"Over my dead body," Nicks told The New York Times Thursday when asked about reports that the young actress was eager to play her.

Adding, "She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we'll talk."

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Lindsay's new film, "Labor Pains," will not be released in theaters. Instead, the comedy will premiere on ABC Family, a source for the film's production company, Nu Image/Millennium Films, confirmed to Access.

The movie will debut on the cable channel on July 19 2009, with a DVD release coming in August.

^ Yes, but Stevie was in her late 20's and even in her 30's when she was on drugs. That's worse in my opinion.

Lindsay is going through the whole Hollywood thing like Stevie did. Sex, drugs and rock and roll.....

We can agree to disagree friend. I'm a Stevie Nicks fan, not a Lindsay Lohan fan. I think Stevie should mind her own business though.That is all I'm saying.

Fuck Stevie.....they SHOULD make a movie about Peter Green! Fleetwood Mac were legendary with Peter.....he left....she came and they turned into disco shite.

Stevie and Lindsay do have a history from a couple of years ago when Stevie refused to perform with her at the American Music Awards. Back then it had something to do with Lindsay Butchering one of her songs in rehersal. It got so bad that Stevie backed out of perfoming with her on the live telecast.

There are plenty of better actors that can play that part, and can probably sing as well.

Stevie got caught in a trap. She should rise above this obvious crap and just privately "nix" Lohan's plans (PS, doubt Lindsay has any clout left to make this project happen anyway if her new movie that was intended to be a comeback is going straight to cable TV). Stevie should just plug her sort-of-live album (it is a live album but they think by making some editing it isn't) and do her own thing....like making an actual album of NEW material.

Stevie was probably in her forties and still having drug issues (can't say for sure, though). Only Stevie for the most part got away with it. This isn't a defense of Lindsey. I just think Stevie should be above this catty crap.
