Quincy Jones' autobiography is fantastic-- not just personal details, but a sort of 20th century pop music history, from someone who was there for most of it. I swear the man has to be 105 by now smile

- I just finished reading Phyllis Hyman's bio which is good and very sad

Patti Labelle's is good and Chaka's isn't bad

I wouldn't recommend Aretha's...

I loved "Call Her Miss Ross!" smile

I also enjoyed these books by Mark Bego they're not the greatest bios in the world but they're pretty good. They also have a lot of insight into all their albums.

Donna Summer's autobiography is a good story of her life but I would have liked more stories about her music, that's what I like the most when I read a bio.

Also you can get both of Mary Wilson's books in one volume, the first is her story with the original supremes and the evil Miss Ross, the second is the story of the 70s Supremes. Neither are the best books ever written but they are very fun reads.

ElBessoNegro

Just finished reading this..

Good read, but I wish there was more focus on their albums; like, chapters devoted to each release.

Currently reading this..

The introduction alone.. thumbs up!
