I know that your pride would be in the way of admitting that. biggrin But the fact that you said earlier that James Brown lost it after Bootsy left is a very obvious sign that you lack understanding when it comes to James Brown. And the fact that you limited Brown to just one style of music.

Lol.....what ever U say.

At least I say something.
You're talking loud and sayin' nothing. biggrin

James Brown lost it when he did The Payback .. that claim shows it all. I don't even have to say anything. This speaks for itself.

Well, yeah, we were always talking about you, right? Who else were we talking about besides you and James Brown?

That's cool if The Payback doesn't do it for you. You always got Mint Condition. falloff

Enjoy ... in the meantime, check out these books below. Recommended reading on James Brown. They won't help you to like JB's post 1971 music, but at least they'll help you to get your facts straight.

Yes, he did. The very first studio recording of Bootsy with Brown was on the single Licking stick, Licking Stick in 1969, but that was before he hired Bootsy for his live band and formed the J.B.'s.
The album Sex Machine live was recorded with Bootsy on bass. However, it's not a live album, but mostly a studio album with overdubbed audience (it includes tracks like Get up I feel like being like a Sex Machine, Give it up or turnit a loose, Spinning Wheel and others) . Other singles he recorded are Super Bad, Soul Power (the vocal version, not the instrumental version later released by Maceo), and Talkin' Loud and Sayin' Nothing.
Bootsy also played on some tracks on the first J.B.'s album Food for Thought, for example The Grunt and Hot Pants Road.
There's also the live album Live at the Olympia which was released on CD in the 1990s, which includes the first J.B.'s as backing band.

For my taste, I prefer Bootsy's material that he released shortly after leaving the J.B.'s For a while, they toured as Marva Whitney's backing band (who had also left James Brown around that time), but they didn't record anything together then.

Bootsy and Phelps mainly recorded for smaller labels in Ohio, using names like The House Guests and Complete Strangers, releasing 45s like What So Ever The Dance, Fun In Your Thang (a winner!!), Together In Heaven, and My Mind Set Me Free.

Prince's output is legendary but name some other acts that you know that release even more music than him.

Without a shadow of a doubt the most prolific act I can think of are The Fall.

A Manchester band fronted by the irascable Mark E. Smith who have released 96 (yes that's NINETY SIX) albums throughout their career.
Album 97 is due for release as we speak biggrin

They began their careers in the late 1970s during the punk age.
Famous for being John Peel's favourite ever band.
Fucking legends cool

They make Prince look as prolific as Michael Jackson lol

Your Choice(s)??

MusicallyI think most people could knock off a Fall album given 2 hours and a VERY basic knowledge of music. That's not a bad thing though. I'm a fan - I love Hex Enduction Hour and i've got a few others. I don't feel the need to buy the remaining 87 though smile

Jandek, he released seven albums in 2006, four in 2005, four in 2004, it is very usual for an album to be released every few months.

Since 1978, Jandek has self-released more than 50 albums of unusual, often emotionally dissolute folk and blues songs without ever granting more than the occasional interview or providing any biographical information.

The mystery of Jandek's identity was partially resolved in October 2004 when he performed live at the Instal 04 music festival in Glasgow, Scotland. This was Jandek's first known live appearance.

Springsteen hasn't released as much as Prince, but he writes and records like a motherfucker! Dude's a hard-worker. The number of songs that didn't make albums is legendary.
