'80s Classic of the Day: "Don't Dream It's Over" - Crowded House

I've loved this song since it was released 22(!) years ago, but it helped me through a very difficult time in my life when a friend passed away 10 years ago today. It's been my absolute favorite song ever since.

This one's for you, buddy. rose

Nice. I covered it in my a capella group in college.

Have you seen Adventureland yet? Coming of age flick set in 87. This song is used very well in that movie. The movie itself was better than I thought it was going to be. Not your typical teen-flick...had a little more to it.

Anyway, I have always been a fan of this song.

A classic, just perfect, melodic pop.

Crackers, they really just don't write them like this anymore.

Actually, I decided I was going to see it once I heard this song was in the movie. lol Haven't gotten there yet, but soon.

There's a lot of great songs in the 80's.

This is one of them.
• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.
