Wilco is releasing a concert documentary film titled "Ashes Of American Flags".

To me, that is a little too close to the current Wendy & Lisa album "White Flags of Winter Chimneys".

I think this new one is a concert-tour documentary, not an album-recording documentary. But the first one had live concert footage

There's also an older (but more recent than IATTBYH) Jeff Tweedy live DVD.

True - in that case I would argue that W&L's title is too close to Wilco's.

they both have the word "flags" in the title, beyond that i don't think they
are too familiar at all.

They also refer to Ashes/Chimneys. That's a pretty big similarity on its own, but moreso when taken in context (along with the "of"):

i thought "white flags of winter chimneys" sounded a bit too much like "the hissing of summer lawns", but what do i know

i can think of a lot of bands i like, but i wouldn't want to sit through a movie about them. or, to be more charitable about it, if i watched one, i wouldn't need a second one.

Hell, I hope it's something Wilco fans enjoy. Give 'em a reality series or a Law & Order spinoff for all I care.

I for one can't wait to hear some new Wilco. I'm excited we get a new album this year.
