Yeah when i used to go see these guys perform in the early eighties,
they would often open with propositions and they turned the song into some rock funk playing 200 mph. Don't laugh at my funk

They were the very first concert I ever went to after I graduated high school in May of 1985. I saw The Barkays, Con Funk Shun, and (I think) Klymaxx in October of that year. Even though it was 1985, they were still wild as hell and looking good. That was the best concert I've ever been to in my life, even better than the two Prince concerts I went to in later years. To this day, they are my favorite group to see in concert. Snakes, fire, outrageousness....those freaks are right up my alley. . . . [Edited 4/8/09 14:34pm] Andy is a four letter word. | |

I read a bio of the group recently and what they're up to. It lists james as being born in 1948. It doesn't list larry's birth date but i don't think larry is quite 60 yet although he looks older than james. Don't laugh at my funk

And what pissed me off, is by the time I graduated high school and was able to go to concerts, it was 1985 and the end had began. I remember the summer after I graduated, I was just hoping and waiting for a concert to come. I was working at McDonald's too so I had a little money to buy a ticket. . . .
