A major talent gone too soon. I read that at the time of his death, he and Barry were not on good terms. Barry has said the fact that they never really patched things up, has haunted him to this day.

can i just tell you i was a huge andy gibb fan. he had some nice jams. he was my first pop star crush too.

Andy's death was truly sad.

Used to like Andy Gibb, he was a cutie. I agree with everybody who said that he died too soon.

No. He had an existing heart condition that was aggravated by an infection. His drug use was likely a contributing factor.

Ironically 'bout 3 years ago I saw a documentary about Andy Gibb it may have been "Beyond the Music". I don't know I was watching this in Kmart. Anywho

Ms. Principal said, Andy had a serious deep alcohol/drug problem way before he met her, that's why she broke up with him a year later. She went on to say, after Andy promised to seek help she went back to him and tried to support him through his sobriety but never stopped using, so she left.

I think it was his mom who said after he died, when they went to clean out his house, they found liquor bottles everywhere. He just wasn't able to beat it, very tragic.

That's good to know. When I heard the false rumor that he had committed suicide over Victoria, I remember thinking to myself, "Damn,she must have really broke his heart for him to go and do something like that!"

They mentioned the cause of death on that same "Behind The Music" special. I am surprised that nobody remembers that.
