SoulAlive could provide the infos to these, I think. He's the only one in the org who has such massive knowledge about Stevie's unreleased vault material.

I can't wait for a book that documents these songs. And its a crying shame why they won't get released.

Never say never. Obviously there are fans who have rare stuff. I downloaded those rare tracks and most of them are from the late 80s live recordings. Not exactly a classic Stevie era but some of the tracks are 70s:

I Think I'm On The Right Track reminds me of Maybe My Baby

Fine Young Thing is 70s too!

amazing, you gotta add the gave aways and the official songs to that!

But honesty folks: noone said something bout the leaked songs. I assume for some of you they are new too?

None of these songs does it for me. It's not that there's a hidden Lately or so.

Is the idea of unreleased SW songs not far more exciting than the actual songs? There certainly was a reason for not releasing them.

I think with unreleased songs they fall into different categories:

-it was a weak song
-good song, but didn't fit the flow of the album
-still needs working on
-good song...but not good enough
-good song, but will probably fit the next album better

I bet Stevie & Michael had conversation at Wonderland Studios, lol. I bet Stevie told Michael "Michael, whatever you do, do NOT release that unreleased shit, you don't wanna give them half of the final product, dig?"

Michael: "That's a good damn idea, I'm gonna use that (picking Afro with pick)."

Yeah Tim it's a great jam I have a live performance from the late 80s him doing "My Love Is On Fire" the lyrics were already finished back then it seems. with Stevie just playing the keys, he did want Luther to sing it unfortunately it didn't happen or Luther rejected the track, when Luther passed Stevie decided to put it on himself, as a tribute to him I'm sure too. (Stevie did feature on harmonica on a song called "I Know" from around 1998

The one in bold is my favorite SW joint from "A Time 2 Love".

Really? Is this the one song that sounds like "What's That You're Doing"? Or shall I say What's That sounds like My Love's On Fire??
I did not know it was written back then, but indeed it would make sense. I gotta give this song another chance

SoulAlive could provide the infos to these, I think. He's the only one in the org who has such massive knowledge about Stevie's unreleased vault material.I can't wait for a book that documents these songs. And its a crying shame why they won't get released.

lol we've had a few threads like this before
