Lady Ga Ga

I saw Lady Ga Ga the other night on Idol for the first time. I'd never heard of her before. At first, I was like what the... but there's something interesting about her. She has a nice voice and kind of reminds me of Amy Winehouse but not quite. Does anybody have her CD? How is it?

You've never heard of her until now? Have you been living under a rock? She's been everywhere, as of late. Very good voice and very eccentric. I don't buy CD's (that's so 2000), but I have a few of her songs on my ipod. They are pretty good. I learned that I have to listen to her songs a couple of times before I actually like it razz

Though I'm not a fan, she sounds better than Madonna, and I'm not a fan of hers neither.

Though I don't want to start on org fight, I have to admit, my cat sounds better than Madonna when she's in heat.

Well, thanks and smooches to you, too. I'm a MJ fan, and it's like Wrestlemania over his blog and it is so much flames over there, you would have to call the fire department. I still enjoy it.

I like her singles, may eventually pick this up. It's funny you mention Amy Winehouse, she kind of resembles her to me. Amy with a blonde wig. lol.

Her CD is awesome. She writes all her own stuff, dances great, plays the piano, and cites Prince as an influence. I want to make sweet love to her. GO to my myspace link in my sig to hear my favorite song from her, "Paparazzi."

I prefer her underground club performance art to any hit she's had of late, yet I'm happy that the toil has paid off for her commercial success. I'm still trying to figure out why Christina Aguilera was so rude to her in the press last year? She dealt Ga Ga a couple of media low blows which were very unbecoming, and it was cool to see Ga Ga resond only with grace and praise for the force that Aguilera is in the industry. She make look weird with her panties constantly up her butt, but this lil GaGa seems to be a class act where social and professional diplomacy is concerned. I like that kid...

Well, I must have been living under a rock too, because I just saw her perform on Jonathon Ross and Paul O'Grady for the first time, and thought she was brilliant, really good performance on both shows! Don't know if I like the music from the last album much, but I love Poker Face... she reminded me of Blondie on JR ... really cool, something a bit different, I love it! biggrin Oh, and I couldn't get most of her videos up on Youtube, said they're not available in the UK!

she's got nothing to do with Amy.

Amy does the whole 60s thing, hairdo, music etc.

Lady GaGa is stylish, her look is current and so is her music. She actually resembles Gwen Stefani more than Amy.

Btw, she says Queen influences her a lot.

Paparazzi is the greatness on that cd--my favorite track. I highly recommend listening to her cd too, pretty much every track on it is great. She's the best thing to happen to music in a long time.

That's exactly what I was just thinking, don't think she has any resemblence to Amy Winehouse at ALL.

THIS is what I like..... cool

I agree. At first I wasn't impressed by the songs. I had prejudiceses and thought she's one of those typical boring female stars but I gave the album another chance.
My favorite is actually Summerboy. I don't care for they lyrics but I like the song itself and she sing it nice. Also some the ad libs at the end are fresh.

and replace the g with an f?

that's silly. She ain't no gag.

Her problem is: She now has to live up to her name, imagine she does a Madonna and wants to change her image. She can't be crazy until she's 50...
Imagine Lady would change into a ROL-like Madonna, her name wouldn't suit her image.

That's a real problem.
