Why do people hate "Silkk The Shocker"? Dude is a legend, been in the game since 1991 and dropped a classic like this joint ...

he was Master P's brother or somethin. Never got into the No Limit artists with their fake casio beats and weak ass raps with their 45 artists coming out at one time selling maybe 500 albums @ a time and to hell with their cheap ass album covers. How is he a legend? What defines that? I havent heard anyone talk about him since 2000 Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Everybody from the south had those ...Silkk didn't start getting hated on (like his brother P) until about 2003. It's like if you say his name, (or P's) you get an automatic snicker or giggle. I still have the CD single to this song:
I'm from Louisiana and remember when No Limit was huge. I'm still surprised that some of the label's artists were able to get national airplay. I liked a few singles from various artists on the label, especially Mystikal with his yellin' ass...lookin' like a Chris Tucker with dookie braids. . Prince Rogers Nelson

How bout the name all by itself - what the fuck is a Silkk (with two K's, mind you) the Shocker?
This is the main criticism I have of hip hop artists from this decade. They think they're hot, but think and be are two different things.

Compare to Master P & C-Murder, Silkk The Shocker was THE worst of The Miller Boyz (TRU). Absolutely no flow whatsoever!
EDIT: And to make matters worse, he let Lil'Wayne of Cash Money end his career. THIS is The Dirty South version of 50 Cent ending Ja Rule's career!!! [Edited 3/30/09 19:31pm]

No Limit & CMR had a quiet little feud a while back. I can't find Cash Money's diss off hand. But I did find TRU's: Master P dissed Baby in the first verse. [Edited 3/30/09 19:56pm]
