a-Ha blow away South America with 3 shows, premiere new material, new look, set first UK dates for upcoming tour....

a-Ha joins a slew of bands who started in the early 80's releasing new albums in 2009 and embarking on tours. They played a 3 show run in one of their strongest markets, which is South America, the band RIPPED through an amazing 24 FULL SONG setlist, not these "medleys" that this "other" artists do and claim "shows". a-Ha pulled out some strange almost never played tunes from early albums, including "weight of the Wind" " I dream myself Alive" and "Living a Boys Adventure Tale" along with classics like "summer moved on" and "the Sun always shines on tv". Along with all that they premiered new songs, "Shadowside" "what there is" and "Riding the crest" which looks to be the first single for their untitled 10th album due June 19th. Some UK dates have been lined up for November, and there is yet another shot that NYC will get a one off concert like they did in 2005. As for the new look....a-Ha showed a very mature, dressed up, look, usually a very casual looking band, they were dressed in suits, and lead singer Morten Harket dressed in a Vest, showed maturity, well he is turning 50 in September

thanks for the heads-up. i've always loved a-ha and they are without question one of the most criminally undervalued bands of the last 25 years.

Scoundrel Days and East of the Sun, West of the Moon are 2 of my favorite albums.

Although I have to admit, I really didn't like Morten's solo album that came out last year (or was it the year before?)

It came out very early last year, i think its ok, its better than "wild seed" IMO, but MAGNE F is the one that has been turning out amazing work most of all, his solo work is amazing. His input vocally on "riding the crest" along with Mortens lead vocals, are priceless, i think its going to be their biggest single in all markets where released
