But thing is he doesn't preach it or flaunt it, he just is, you know? A lot of things are too much for certain people. Besides he know talking about it would bring unwanted attention. That's what got Clay Aiken in trouble. He and Danny Norieaga don't brag about being who they are. | |

I prefer it when gays appear in a straight manner (like George Michael). But I thought America is too homophobic to embrace a gay American Idol! This makes me wonder: are the AI viewers more open and less anti? | |

Well, Idol has produced a popular gay icon. 
He didn't win, but he is pretty big. At least he's sold a million or so records and is on Broadway. Now, Clay is not the only gay person that has come out of Idol. Jim Verraros, from season one, came out and has done a few albums and also been in a few gay movies. IMO, I think we are becoming more accepting of gay media figures. Especially thanks to Ellen, Rosie (though some despise her for her views), George Michael, and others. Not to mention that some of our top television shows feature real-life gay people (Top Model, Pussycat Dolls show, Project Runway, and Oprah (with Nate Berkus). I've only watched a couple of shows. And he was the best that I saw in terms of singing, stage presence, and having his own style. I hope he does win. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, after seeing that video that was posted earlier, I don't think I could take him. He is good because he has been performing in clubs, but he really annoys me. I'm pulling for Danny.
