Dude, when I discovered UKG back in 2001, I felt jilted. The scene was perfect for me but I couldn't participate because I lived in the states mad

yea i like this tune too - the original mix.

UKG was really fresh, shame part 1 of it got sort of closed down cause of the social issues going on in London at the time.

However - the music remained and still is really popular - you only have to flick the dial on the radio in London to hear many pirate stations still playing it.

& arguably UKG was reborn as the current UKFunkyHouse scene.

Also there is a very thin line between 2step garage and Brokenbeat...

is it stutter? is it bruk? is it wonky?? lol

i dont really care as long as the groove is good.


& so trainspotters who were there - do you remember Breakbeat Garage? i liked that too.

I used to go to the first Twice As Nice events - they were good, Dreem Teem in effect with Creed on MC duties - with Hip Hop in the other room.
