Andre 3000 performs 100 MPH..literally

Andre 3000 of Outkast charged with driving 109 mph in Ga.
The Associated Press
8:40 AM EDT, March 31, 2009
MCDONOUGH, Ga. - Andre 3000 of the hip hop duo Outkast is free on bond after police charged him with driving 109 mph on a highway in suburban Atlanta.

Henry County Police Capt. Jason Bolton says the entertainer, whose real name is Andre Benjamin, was clocked speeding in a 65 mph zone in his Porsche south of Atlanta about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

The 33-year-old Benjamin is free on $1,200 property bond pending a court date April 29.

Benjamin's publicist, Eufaula Garrett, did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Police say Benjamin told them he was going so fast because he missed an exit and had to turn around.

As the Grammy-winning Outkast, Andre 3000 and Big Boi have churned out six platinum-plus albums, including their hit double-release "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below."

A very wealthy friend (white) took his Lotus to the back roads of a farming community and punched it. He says he flew!
Next thing he knows cop cars everywhere , a chp chopper up above. He pulls over and and explains to the officer he just wanted to see how fast it would go.
The cops wave the chopper away, scope out the car, some drooling and chit chat, give him a warning and home he goes.

I've never understood the point of having cars that go that fast, since you can't legally drive that fast on the street.
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Damn, and here I was, expecting to hear him belt out this MPLS Funk classic!

Maybe it's just as well, seeing as how he's not exactly the greatest singer in the world.

Oh, he knows it too. lol

The point? It makes one feel good, even if all of those horses are idle.

He's only 33? I thought he was older- he must have been like 16 when Outkast dropped their first album! Incredible.

I heard he was supposed to have a solo album on the way soon, as well as another Outkast collaboration. Anyone know how true this is?
