Does anyone remember Sa-Fire?

I recently had a flashback - Sa-Fire!!! I used to love her S/T first album and her follow-up I WASN'T BORN YESTERDAY. I used to have both on CD but have lost 'em over the years. I just ordered used copies at half.com.

Yes I do. I loved her first album. Never got the follow-up because I thought it strayed to much from freestyle. I did buy however, her comeback album a few years ago Bringing Back The Groove which was mostly new versions of old songs.

From my magazine collection:

I loved "Let Me Be The One". (No, not the Expose song)

• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

OF course she still tours now and is working on a new record for release through Myspace records. She was one of the pioneer's of the NYC freestyle scene, which was the creation. Until later in the decade when some clown thought mixing "freestyle" with hard rap and rb edge was a good idea, NOT!

Don't Break My Break was my all-time favorite Sa-Fire song. It's a definitely Freestyle classic! Let Me Be The One is another good track. cool
