Its almost like she has too many things going for her and people (jealous bitches) cant wrap their heads around it. Or maybe, just maybe, some people are truly unimpressed? I used to like her during the B-Day era but I feel as though her limits have been exposed. if you think her doing an alanis song is disturbing,
just wait till you see her new movie with Idris Elba, "Obsessed". having seen the trailer, It should be Beyonce playing the stalker, not Ali Larter. I would pay money for Ali Larter to stalk me!

[Edited 3/29/09 14:26pm] No one demands that you give anybody "props." I'm just surprised by the amount of people who go out of there way to be nasty about her. I'm not her number 1 fan or anything, but I think she is under-appreciated as a stage performer and a respectable role model in an age of very few.

From the responses, I was expecting it to be awful, but it's really not that bad . I still can't believe that this song was about Uncle Joey from 'Full House'....he must have really pissed Alanis off. Prince Rogers Nelson

She mixed this into "If I Were A Boy" because she was in Canada, I read. That reminds me....I hate how she does IIWAB live. She uses melisma, scales, mic echo and fan machines in lieu of anything that feels raw and real...or from the soul. It's weird. Looking at her most recent topics on the org, I see that maybe she doesn't have a lot of fans here. lol But, she's everywhere--releasing two singles at a time, mind you--and now she's on tour so....More product more stuff to critique, I guess. I bet she got a bit more love when the "Single Ladies" vid first came out....but a little bit of her gravy goes all over the plate, as grandma used to say. Watching Ciara's latest actually made me appreciate her more. However, I do see how it is possible to be unimpressed with her and really not be a "jealous bitch" or "hater".

not sure if it is definitive bout this being bout dave coulier but anyway. LOL if it is. I found this article from NYDailyNews: Dave Coulier admits Alanis Morissette's 'You Oughta Know' is about him By NICOLE CARTER DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER Thursday, August 14th 2008, 3:00 PM Galella/WireImage Comedian Dave Coulier has admitted for the first time that Alanis Morissette’s angst-ridden hit song "You Outta Know" is about their rocky former relationship.
The "Full House" funnyman, 48, told the Calgary Herald that he first heard the hit song, which features lyrics such as "And I'm here to remind you / Of the mess you left when you went away," was when he was driving. "I said, 'Wow, this girl is angry.' And then I said, 'Oh man, I think it's Alanis,'" Coulier revealed. "I listened to the song over and over again, and I said, 'I think I have really hurt this person.'" After then calling Morissette to ask what he should say to the press, the former lovers met for a day to work things out. "And it was beautiful," Coulier added. “It was one of those things where it was kind of like, 'We're good'." Coulier previously denied that he was the subject of Morissette's lyrical scorn, telling Contact Music in 2006, "I never said that song was about me." Sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction. I suggest if B wants to step up her Rock Game make the records rock with actual guitars and leave the Casios at home.
This is a long shot but you know me. I say B should cover "One In A Million" by Guns and Roses and then get onstage and put a big Knowles spin on why she covered it. Maybe something like this: "When I remade this record I wanted to say "Shorties and Thugs" but Sasha got onstage and said "F***** and N*****." I Beyonce would never use those words. I'm sorry y'all. Get Direct TV." WARNING: This has the dreaded N word.
