Funny when folks say this kinda stuff about Prince in the PMM forum you get your wig in a twist.  Erykah will probably never make another Mama's Gun (which I think is her undisputed classic). But each album has been always shown that she's never afraid to "go left"... and that's an element that is sorely missing in R&B. I don't really get the "hooking up" comment about Erykah or why it was even necessary. New Amerykah Pt. 1 was definitely one of the best releases of 2008.Funny, Prince is 50 years old with 40 plus official releases. How many releases does Badu have? | |

I think her last album was her absolute best. Now I do say I have never owned Baduizm but it seems like the more she put out the more she progressed in change of sound. Whats that? Freakquency.  I'll be damned if I get another tried r&b album. At least she is talking about soemthing relevant to life and the world in this record...and the experiemntal sounds are exquisite. I have to agree. I used to be a fan, but the past few years she turns me off. It seems that she thinks she's better than she really is. Swelled head syndrome IMO. | |
