That is a good song, I put it on one of my homemade comps of "lost 80s" jams.

Yeah, they recorded an album together in 1984.Titled 'Perfect Combination',it was released in the spring of '84,featuring three singles: the title track "Perfect Combination",a nice remake of an old 60s ballad "Baby It's You" and the aforementioned "Block Party".When this album was released,Stacy was very popular in the R&B world but most people had no idea who Johnny Gill was.His solo album came out a year or so earlier but it wasn't a big hit.It was a smart move for him to team up with Stacy. They recorded a few other duets in the late 80s,as well.

Stacy Lattisaw is great.A very good singer who had a good run in the 80s.From 1980 to 1989,she was a constant presence on the R&B charts.
