so much tension
cause we're living a lie....by and by
Oh whoa whoa....not to mention
can we give it a try?

music music music music one of the greatest slow jams of the 80s!

The 'You,Me and He' album is superb. It opens with the funky midtempo track "C.O.D. (I'll Deliver)" which sounds just like "Juicy Fruit".

"Prime Time" was also a great tune from the `84 lp.

So u go 4 the stuff they DON'T play on classic radio too? I wish I could've been around in the days of Album Oriented music, where they would play the stuff in the middle of the album

Great song and the title alone is sexy as hell. I could go for some "you, me, and he" right about now my damn self. And there wouldn't be no "what we gonna do baby" because dammitt, I'd know what to do. lol

My favorite is the even rarer "Give It On Up" from 1980.

It was great back then. DJs didn't play the hits, they made the hits.

One thing that annoys me about these classic radio stations is,they only play ONE song by Mtume.Sure,"Juicy Fruit" is a fine song but what about their other hits? I would love to hear "You Me And He" or "Would You Like To Fool Around" sometime, too.

Me too! I've stopped/give up listening to "classic" radio, I'm convinced at best they have only about 50 albums/Cd's of classic songs. That's why you hear the same single over and over again.

It drives me crazy lol In my area,we have an R&B oldies station but they play the same songs over and over and over. They pick an artist, and choose three or four of their most popular hits, and play em over and over and over! The Prince songs they play are "I Wanna Be Your Lover","Kiss","When Doves Cry","1999" and "Little Red Corvette".

Sometimes,I wanna strangle their DJs and ask them "Haven't you ever heard of "Let's Work"??! What about "Anotherloverholenyohead"??! Or "Adore"??! You know, mix it up a bit! Don't just play the most popular songs!

Hey, why don't they play a song off the ablum that wasn't release as a single. eek I know, radical.

When "You, Me and He" came out I assumed this René & Angela singing/song.

Yeah, too bad that remix is not on Youtube. As the lp-version has a more laidback groove, the extended single with that fierce clap-hook pumps it up to another level.

the 1st Mutume I knew about was their last album, 1986's Theatre Of The Mind. I liked "Pop Generation" and "Breathless"
