A voice that stands out way above all of the other young girls in the business today.

Glad to hear Leela James is FINALLY coming out with some "new" music!! I absolutely LOVE her voice. Saw her live a few years ago and, believe me, she worked it! I think I'd rather it not be a complete album of covers, too, but I'll take it because she's been away too long. Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

Kinda late to this thread I know but I was in Borders today while this album was playing and I totally loved it. I was perusing magaizines and every time a new track would drop it turned my head like, "Who IS that?"
I'm not going to criticize her for doing a covers album. This joint is the shit as far I'm concerned. I'll pobably buy it Sunday when I go to Target to get the new Prince triple. Man 3 P discs for $12? I can afford to pick up Leela with all the jing I be savin'. | |
