What kind of headphones do you have? I'm curious about this. Over the years, I've had the Sony ones and they've always been good. A few years ago, I graduated to Shure, some e2cs. Yesterday, I stepped up a little and got some SE210s. People either really love them or really hate them: the biggest complain is they don't seem to pick up enough bass. I've heard Sennheiser is really good.
I'm not an audiophile so I'm thinking the Shures may be fine but what do you guys think?

i have the $30 jobbies by Phillips. probably a little modest for what you're looking for, but i'm very happy with the sound quality of these. i mangle headphones when i use them outside of the house, and i never have the time to enjoy music on my headphones IN the house, so earbuds are my poison of choice. these seem to be the nicest non-expensive ones i can find (at target, anyway, ha).

Superior, studio quality. I hear shit I never heard before in songs when I first got 'em. It sounds like I'm in the studio/stoundstage of the artist that I'm listening to.
