Rhythm of the night finally on Itunes!! Sorry I know there's already a DeBarge thread but I thought that it would get lost in it as it's quit long now . Oh man I have been waiting for this forever!! I never had the album before but could never get it either since it was out of print. What do you all think of this album? What are your fave trax??

I thought "Rhythm of The Night" was the DeBarge's weakest album/Cd, more so because Mr. Gordy obsession with artist crossing over. Don't get me wrong, I like pop music but when you have talent like that family.... leave them the hell alone and allow them to create! Now that I got that off my chest. If didn't have the album/Cd I would only download.
"You Wear It Well" "Share My World" and maybe "Rhythm of The Night"

Pleae sir, may I have another Oh, please, (directing that to Mods) I think the is worthy of NOT being in script's DeBarge sticky. I'm sure other's weren't aware that "Rhythm.... was on iTunes now. Dancerella makes a good point some may not checkout the sticky in this exception. Be that as it may, "shoot it over" to the sticky instead of locking it down.

I agree, the 'Rhythm Of The Night' album is disappoining. The previous albums ('All This Love' (1982) and 'In A Special Way' (1983) are excellent, containing a bunch of soulful R&B gems. The songs were written and produced by the group members themselves, and El in particular was proving to be a superb songwriter. But somewhere along the way,Berry Gordy decided that they needed to crossover. He brought in outside songwriters and songs that are slick,overly-synthesized and pop-sounding.The title track is their worst single ever....an extremely silly,soul-less,annoying little number. The follow up single "Who's Holding Donna Now" is a boring adult-contemporary snoozefest."The Heart Is Not So Smart" is another embarassing song.None of these songs sound like the 'real' DeBarge to me.

You seen the MJ stickies? how long they are. Don't see why this should get a pass when everything MJ related has to go on a sticky.
