I don't like this album. I love this album. It is a classic to me. "Master Blaster", "I Ain't Gonna Stand For It", "Lately", "Happy Birthday"...all classics.

My fave highlight is "As If You Can Read My Mind". Last time i heard it was when a buddy of mine dj'd at a festival and spinned soulful housegrooves.
Suddenly he mixed Stevie's track fluently in there and the crowd went even wilder.

Superb album, but I think the first half is much stronger than the second half. The album loses a little steam after "Master Blaster".

Favorite songs are "As If You Read My Mind","Rocket Love","All I Do" and "Ain't Gonna Stand For It".Those four songs make it a worthwhile album.

Cool ! ... does it also appear on the live-dvd ?
And indeed, "All I Do" is another fave of mine. That one slipped my memory, lol.

I was just listening to Side 2 after this thread was created.

Yes, this record is a classic. cool

BTW - D'Angelo sang the hook from "Rocket Love" on his collab with GZA of the Wutang Clan. I just remembered - the song was called "Cold World."

This album is a classic. My favorites include, Ain't Gonna Stand For It", "Lately" and my theme song, "All I Do". As a D.J., I try to fit this into at least some part of my set. Classic track!!

Damn, you listed some of the ones that I usually skip over. lol

My favorites are "Did I Hear You Say You Love Me", "Do Like You", "Happy Birthday", "Master Blaster", and "Ain't Gonna Stand For It". Sometimes I listen to "All I Do" but not very often. As for the other tracks on the album, I don't think I've ever listened to them all the way through except for maybe one or two times since I bought the album back in 1980. lol
